With The Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! tour visiting 60 cities this fall, chances are that they'll be near you!

Today’s hottest live show for families will make stops at top theaters, arenas and amphitheaters throughout North America, starting August 27 in Bethel, NY and ending in Dallas, TX on December 12. The state-of-the-art production features music, singing, dancing and animation. The show is an interactive experience that offers audience members of all ages the opportunity to witness their favorite characters come to life. Joining the characters on stage will be hip-hop legend Biz Markie to teach kids how to beat box with “Biz’s Beat of the Day”. Special guests will join the party on stage for the Super Music Friends Show and Dancey Dance segments.

HABA Fay Finja 15" Doll

I was so excited when I learned that Isabella loved baby dolls. I would be completely OK if she was a total tom boy, but having somewhat of a girly girl will be so much fun.

Haba sent Isabella the Fay Finja Doll.

Dressed in blues and greens complete with a cape, this little girl likes to pick flowers. There’s one in her hair and a bunch in her basket. Imagine the adventures you two can create!



As I've found Isabella does with most dolls, she talks sweetly to Fay Finja and drags her around the house. The doll is about 15" tall and includes a cape and basket of flowers. Isabella's favorite feature is her hair. I'll walk into the room and see her stroking the doll's hair.


Just like all of the other HABA products that we have, the doll is extremely well made. It reminds me of heirloom quality toys that will last my children for years to come. She is incredibly soft and since her hair is made of fabric, it doesn't tangle or get messy like most dolls. If it gets out of place, you simply push it back where it goes.

I do not like buying Evan shoes that tie. With two small kids, I only buy shoes that they can easily put on and that they want to wear. I like to get them cute shoes that they have fun wearing.

Seriously-are these not the cutest shoes ever? I'm not sure of any kid that wouldn't want to wear these. Evan is the envy of the neighborhood and everyone always stops us to comment on his shoes.


The only thing that I don't like on these is the drawstring on the top. We will wear these more when winter gets here because long pants will cover the string. The drawstring makes it where the shoes fit snugly, but I think it looks a little silly.


I really wanted these Thrasher shoes for him for summer. They would match most of his clothing, and they would be even easier for him to put on and take off by himself.


The quality of these Shoes is fantastic. I can tell they are going to last him as long as they'll fit. He has already put them through a lot, and they still look new!

Fisher-Price Celebrates Dora The Explora's 10th Anniversary With A “We Did It!” Dora Doll

A few weeks ago, Evan came and got it bed with us. Nothing unusual. Next, he tells us that he wants a Dora doll. A Dora Doll? Where did that come from? I'm not sure if he dreamed about a Dora doll, or what-but he talked about it for 2-3 weeks. My husband kept trying to turn his attention to something manly-you know, like trucks. A few weeks ago, I had to laugh when I got an email from Fisher price telling me about their newest Dora Doll. True Story.

I can't even express to you how excited Evan was when he first saw Dora. I didn't tell him that it was coming, I just told him there was a big surprise for him in the box. Being the drama queen that she is, Isabella also squealed with delight when we took her out of the box with a big, "HEYYYYY Babyyyy!!".

The We Did It Dora Doll has a head and body that sways when moved. It kind of reminds me of a big bobble head doll. To make her sing and dance, simply push the flower on one of her shoes. Here is a video of Dora and her moves. Evan and Isabella both dance along with her. However, Evan is too intrigued with the tv in this video. They had been playing with her for a while before I grabbed the video camera.


She comes with a hair brush which is important because with all of her dancing, her hair gets a little wild. Evan and Isabella both dance around the house with Dora, but I have been so impressed with how much Isabella loves on this doll. She never really danced with music before we got Dora, and now she dances up and down when any music comes on. Every time she sees Dora, she'll go up to to her and talk sweet and brush her hair.

Sport-Brella Beach Umbrella/Sun Tent Review And Giveaway

We normally go to the beach several times during the summer, but we didn't make it as much this year. We load up the car with all of the necessities for a day at the beach including products to keep the sun off of our children.

Unfortunately, we haven't been to the beach as much and haven't used it there. It arrived one day before someone was coming to look at the house(our house is for sale), so it got put in the garage and was forgotten about for several weeks. I'm sure we'll get tons of use out of it now between play dates at the park, beach days, and camping!

It comes in a easy to use carry bag. When folded up, it doesn't take up much room at all-perfect for traveling.


Here is what it comes with. The umbrella, bag, and a smaller bag with stakes and other accessories.


Here it is with one flap down, and the other flap still up. The flaps attach to the side of the umbrella, or can be brought down to create more of a "tent look".


The flaps both have two rings to be staked down to the ground.


Each side has a flap that you can unzip to expose a vented area so that air can flow through.


Here is a view from the back with one of the vents open and one zipped shut.


Using this knob, you can make the "handle" as long or short as you'd like. That makes it where the Sport-Brella will sit up as high or low as you need it to. When not in use, the bottom part goes up into the top part.


I posted about Evan hopefully playing sports earlier today, and I think we will be using this often! I used to take Evan to my brother's baseball games and I wish we would have had something like this. The kids can play with their toys on the ground, but still be in the shade.

It will be perfect for building sandcastles under at the beach-or for taking naps! We plan on camping soon and this will definitely be something we take with us. I'm sure any family can think of several places they would get good use out of the Sport-Brella!.

We had the kids' birthday party in our backyard so seating was a priority. I wanted to have comfortable chairs and swings scattered around the yard so parents could mingle and watch their children play.

They came well packaged and it didn't take my husband very long at all to put together.


The regular sized chair measures 30"W x 37"D x 37"H and the junior sized chair is 19"W x 24"D x 28"H. Both chairs are available in 8 different colors to match whatever you need. My house is white, so I asked for both chairs in white.


I've had them for a few months now and they are holding up extremely well. My only complaint is that the slats feel a little too far apart. My granddad used to make Adirondack chairs and the slats where always extremely close for maximum comfort. I admit that it looks better with the slats further apart, but I can feel the spaces when I'm sitting in it.

Not only do they look great in my yard, but they also make good photo props. If I put Isabella on the ground, she quickly crawls away. If I have her in the chair, she usually stays put for a little while.

Evan really enjoys playing with toys that allow him to make something. He feels a huge sense of accomplishment when whatever he is making comes together.

Moon Dough is not recommended for children under 3, and I completely agree! Evan just turned 3 and can make a bit of a mess with it. When it first arrived, it was raining and he wanted to play with it immediately. I set up his little desk in the kitchen so he wouldn't get it on my carpet(even though you can comb it out of the carpet and vacuum it up).

I was shocked to feel that it is completely dry! It is extremely light weight-almost like foam. My only complaint is that it crumbles. If any pieces fall off, it leaves a crumbly mess. To easily pick them up, you simply take a ball of Moon Dough and dab up the pieces. Since he is only 3, he tends to spread the mess all over. The next day I made him play with it outside on the deck and in 10 minutes, here was the mess.


He has an absolute blast with this barn. It is one of his new favorite toys. Here is how it works. First you put the dough into the hole.


Then turn the lever.


And out pops an animal.


The only improvement that I can think to make with the barn is to label the molds at the top so you know which animal you're putting the dough into(maybe with a picture of the animal for younger kids). He was also a little upset that there was no pig! The little play mat that was included has a fence with mud and he wanted to put a pig in the mud. He would tell me he wanted to make a chicken, but we weren't sure which one the chicken mold was, so we just had to put dough in each one and crank it until a chicken popped out.


**UPDATED TO ADD: The dough has no strong smell!! It has a slight smell-but you're not going to notice unless you put it up to your nose and I am sensitive to smells.**

Evan has recently become a huge fan of Sid The Science Kid, and he gets so excited when he sees products that remind him of his favorite shows.

I wish you could have seen Evan's face when he first saw this adorable Sid the Science kid figure. He got so excited when he learned that Sid "talked" to him. Sid comes with the “The Sticker Chart” DVD episode and Evan has watched it over and over again. The Sid figure, was good enough, but the DVD was a pleasant added bonus. Here he is holding Sid and watching the DVD.


The recommended age is 36 months - 6 years, but even Isabella loves Sid. She learned to press on Sid to make him talk and between my two kids, Sid is always talking. It takes 2 AA batteries to make him run(they're included) and I'm surprised we haven't had to change them yet. To make Sid talk. they simply press on his chest.
