Bambino Mio Swim Nappies And Nappy Swimsuit Review And Giveaway – TWO WINNERS

I have been using cloth diapers for over a year now and I can’t imagine how much money I’ve saved. We’re always in the water during the summer and use cloth swim diapers so we’re not blowing through those disposable ones.

Bambino Mio has their own line of cloth diapering products. The Bambino Mio brand is founded on the principles of quality, convenience, comfort and style. With their continuous product development, they are committed to providing consumers with the best cotton nappies and associated products available. Bambino Mio offers a complete nappy system suitable for babies from newborn to potty training. Their nappies are 100% cotton which means they are naturally soft, breathable and absorbent, maintaining a healthy temperature.

Bambino Mio sent us the Swim Nappy and Nappy Swimsuit.

Swim Nappy:

We first used the Cloth Swim Diaper when we were at the beach in the beginning of June. I thought the pattern was incredibly cute and couldn’t wait to put her in it. The waist is elastic and has a drawstring on the inside so that you can make it as tight as you need. The legs are also elastic and are supposed to fit snug. Isabella’s legs are not chunky so the holes were a little big on her as you can see in the picture below. We went down to the beach and as soon as she tinkled, it ran out the side.

The fit is extremely trim and fits well under her regular swimsuits, it is just that her legs aren’t big enough to make the holes snug and keep everything in. I was sent the medium(16-21 lbs) and she’s on the extreme low end of that weight. I think Evan would have been fine because his legs were much more chunky at this age. I also think that the size down may have been a better fit for her since she is skinny, but I went by weight and the leg holes are a little big. It is low maintenance and is machine washable. The Swim Nappy is available in pink fish, blue fish, orange fish, pink spot and blue spot prints. It comes in sizes Small (11-16 lbs), Medium (16-21 lbs), Large (21-27 lbs), extra large (27 – 34 lbs).

Nappy Swimsuit:

I think the idea behind the Swimsuit with a built in cloth diaper is genius. You don’t have to worry about wearing a diaper at all-just slip on the swimsuit with the integrated swim nappy. It does everything that the swim nappy does, it just has more coverage for little girls.

This seems to fit her legs much better and keeps the mess in. The top part was a little big on her, but the elastic legs were tighter. My only wish is that it was available in the same pink patterns as the Swim Nappy. Right now it is available in lime fish and red fish prints. It comes in sizes Medium (16-21 lbs) and Large (21-27 lbs).

These environmentally friendly alternatives to disposable swim diapers also allow you to save on money. You can’t use regular disposable diapers because they swell and bust in the water and the disposable water diapers are not cheap! The Bambino Mio swim diapers have a slim fit and can be used over and over again.
