Here's what you'll need:
24 oz frozen broccoli OR 2 fresh heads
8 oz package of cream cheese (1/3 less fat optional)
4 cups chicken stock
1/3 cup heavy cream (whole milk will do in a pinch)
Optional diced/canned chicken to up the protein
Steam the broccoli until tender.
Blend it with a touch of water until creamy. Feel free to reserve a little for "chunkiness".
Add it to a pot with 4 cups of chicken stock and the cream cheese.
Add some chicken if you're inclined. I served this for dinner, so the chicken added some protein.
Season it up with salt, pepper, and even cayenne if you're feeling feisty!
