Notice that this is not a nursing camisole, which has a built-in bra. Rather, this is more like a tube top which attaches to the nursing clasps of your own bra. The undershirt has two ways of attaching:
I find both ways to be effective, but my preference is to use the slip-clasp rather than the loop. I find the loop can pull down too far onto the bra cup. You have both attachments on the nursing shirt, so you can use either one at any time.
It's a great length, which I love for layering. I think it would work pretty well even during pregnancy.
I think it's a little higher cut at the neck line than some of my other nursing camisoles, which I like for modesty.
I have always worn nursing camisoles for discretion in public nursing. There's nothing worse than worrying about your back or stomach peeking out from your nursing cover. But I'm large busted, and the nursing camisoles on the market don't provide the support I prefer. I've dealt with it for years, but this undershirt allows me to find a truly supportive bra and still have the benefit of a camisole. The material was a higher quality than I was expecting, too.
I was concerned it would slip in the back since it's just a tube top attached only in the front. The website says to order a size smaller than your shirt size. At the time of this picture, I was still wearing size large shirts so I ordered a medium. It fit wonderful and didn't slip down at all. One month later, I have lost 13 pounds and 3 inches off my waist, and the medium undershirt is now a little big. Rest assured, I will be ordering more in a size small, especially since they come in LOTS of awesome colors and even with lace trim. :-)
