Party With BrylaneHome Triple Basket Deep Fryer + Giveaway

I live in the south, so fried food is a way of life.  While I try to stay away, I find myself pulling out my fryer pretty often.  With Superbowl coming up Sunday, I was thrilled that BrylaneHome sent us the Triple Basket Deep Fryer.

This deep fryer lets you fry different foods at once! Its cool-touch stainless steel design comes with 3 baskets: a jumbo for big batches, plus 2 side-by-side baskets for smaller batches. An immersion element preheats and recovers oil temperature quickly. This electric fryer also has an adjustable thermostat, ready light, odor filter, detachable, easy-clean 4½-lt. enameled steel tank, see-thru windows on lid and a 30-minute timer. It measures 10"H x11"W x15¼"D.

We are often with my parents and siblings on the weekends, so we have to cook for at least 9.  We fried floured chicken breast, french fries, and corn at my mom's the other day.  I was really hoping that the fryer would hold a little more than it did.  It takes 2 bottles of oil to fill it to the max line, and it isn't very deep.   We used two of the smaller baskets so we could get corn and chicken going.  One of the smaller baskets only held 4 of our chicken strips.  As you can see, one of the strips didn't even fit very well at first.

While I like that you can do a larger batch in the big basket, or two smaller batches, it takes a while if you're frying enough for more than 3-4 people.  The fryer itself is pretty large, but when filled to the max, the oil is still very shallow and doesn't cover much food.

The lid has a window and notches to keep the baskets in place.  There is a knob to adjust the heat and another for the timer.  With 3 small kids - a timer comes in handy!  I love the look and concept of the fryer, I just wish it was a little larger for when I have more people to feed than just my family of 5.  It will be fantastic for everyday use with our little family.
