Dorcy Metal Gear Extreme Lumen LED Flashlight

We always seem to have a pretty large variety of flashlights around, but we have used them more in the past year than ever.  While remodeling the house, it seemed like we were always asking someone to hold a flashlight for us.  Dorcy sent us their Metal Gear XL-M Extreme 618 Lumen LED Flashlight to test.
Dorcy is proud to announce our next generation of lights. The Metal Gear series of of high performance lights will outshine the competition. The new Dorcy Metal Gear XLM (Extreme Lumens) flashlight produces 618 lumens of light from a single LED chip. Utilizing the Cree XM-L LED module which allows Dorcy to drive the chip with 6 alkaline batteries to produce a intense beam of light. With beam distances over 300 meters (1100 feet) the 41-0435 utilizes Dorcy's TrueSpot® Optimized Reflector System. The aluminum Construction, Side Mounted Push button switch and convenient lanyard make this light a must.
My husband is really into LED and we don't have any big LED Flashlights.  He took it hunting with him early one morning.  It requires 6AA batteries that will run the flashlight for about 5 hours.  He came back boasting about how strong the light was and that he was very impressed with it.  He won't ever take any of his old flashlights with him after using this one!

The flashlight has two setting for brightness.  On the dimmer setting, it can run for over 25 hours!  This is definitely a flashlight that I'll be glad we have if there is ever an emergency.

Visit Dorcy to learn more and to view their other products.  You can purchase the Metal Gear XL-M Extreme 618 Lumen LED Flashlight for $79.

It must be a guy thing because my husband is into flashlights and LED lights too. This combination sounds like a perfect fit for him. I'll have to look into this for my husband, he has a birthday coming up and this would be a great surprise.
