A new face ... er, blogger!

As promised, I have some exciting news-especially for those of you wanting to live a more natural lifestyle!  As our house continues to grow, I have had less time to post.  I've been thinking of adding a new blogger for quite some time now, but I wanted one that had a little different perspective on life so that we wouldn't both be posting about the same topics.

A few weeks ago, I had an "ah ha" moment.  My good friend, Pam, immediately popped into my head.  We met in nursing school about 8 years ago, and I absolutely adore her - you will too!  She has so much knowledge to share and I was thrilled when she said she would post on a regular basis.  Meet Pam, my friend turned Super Mom-

As if there aren’t enough homesteading stay-at-home-moms out there blogging their recipes, family adventures, and natural home remedies, I have officially joined the ranks!  My name is Pam, and I’m thrilled to be guest-blogging with Dee!  Let me introduce myself … that's me on the left with all the little people clinging to me.  :-)
I’m an ER nurse turned SAHM, and I live in the mountains with my amazing husband of 10 years and our 4 (very soon to be 5) young children.  Yes, I mean young.

My oldest turns 7 in February (oooo, is that next month??), right after my third turns 3 and my fifth is due to join us.  Did I mention my second just turned 4 in October?  Oh, yeah, and my fourth will turn 2 in May.  Did you catch all of that??  This year, I will be busy mothering 5 children, ages 7, 4, 3, 2, and newborn.  Whew!  I’m tired already!
About a year ago, we moved to our beautiful homestead.  Yep, I’m living my dream with a flock of Black Australorp chickens, 2  sweet Jersey cows (and 2 adorable calves, to boot), 3 livestock guardian dogs, 1 little barn cat, and 1 lazy housedog who does a great job cleaning up the plethora of crumbs my children drop at the dinner table.
To sum it up, I’m a cloth-diapering, whole food-cooking, bread-making, homeschooling, breastfeeding, home birthing, potty-training mama!
My hobbies include, uh … um … ok, I don’t really have any hobbies!  LOL.  But I love figuring out how to save money by making things at home and providing the healthiest options I can to my family .... probably a lot like you.  Soon I’ll be posting some of my favorite budget- & time-friendly recipes, DIY projects, and tips on getting and keeping your family healthy using more natural options.  I hope to help save YOU some time and money, and if nothing else, provide you with some comic relief in your day!
Until next time,
Pam
