SoftTiles - Foam Mat Floor + $75 Giveaway

Choosing the flooring for the kids' rooms and playroom was hard for me. The rest of my house is hardwoods, but I wanted something soft and cozy for them. I went ahead and put carpet in the playroom, but I still wanted something that would keep them safe if they took a tumble - and would also keep my carpet safe from stains that come with having kids. SoftTiles introduced me to their Foam Mats. We will be doing a jungle theme in the playroom, so I was excited about the Safari Animal Mats.

They have many colors to choose from and will help you design a look that will work best for your room. I decided on green/yellow and blue/orange. I gave them my measurements and after deciding on a look, they sent all the pieces. This is what that side of the room looked like before I put down the pieces.  The other side of the room will have a couch and TV.  I will update pictures once the room has been decorated.

I want to stress how important it is to measure well and try to know how your room will be decorated. When I designed my mat with them, I didn't think about allowing space for the closet doors to open, and I also didn't think about a toybox and bookshelf being there. Isabella and I put out a border that we thought would fit for now and then put the tiles in the middle.

She helped me sit them out in a pattern that we want for now.

We then put them in place.

As you can see over to the side, we still have extra pieces. The best thing about these is that you can switch them out and change the size of the area that you want it to cover. I admit that the other half of this room is a complete wreck right now with boxes waiting to be unpacked. Once we finish unpacking and put up the cute wall decor that I have for in here, I will update this post with "finished" pictures.

As we decorate the room and get it set up the way we want, the size and position of the mat might change. I love the fact that it isn't a set size or color pattern. We can switch it up at anytime.
