Home Remodel Update

We closed on our new house just over a month ago and have been busy gutting it and putting it back together. While living with my parents our internet has been sketchy so I wasn't able to update as much as I'd like. We now have cable in our new house and I can get this Remodel Event off the ground with some great reviews/giveaways starting next week. I have a ton of before, during, and after pictures that I can't wait to share with you!

We are so close to the finish line. In just two weeks, we will finally be moving in. Our hardwoods will be refinished starting Monday and the carpet will be put in the kids' rooms and playroom the following Monday. The granite will also be installed that day or the next. Technically, we could move in then, but my husband won't be off until Thursday of that week.

Here is a picture of my kitchen from 3 days ago. This was with the first coat of paint on the cabinets. They have since been finished and we are ordering the doors and drawer fronts today! Like those fans? My husband will be installing the recessed lighting and bar lighting this weekend(if he isn't working on our master bath the whole time). The lighting can be finished once we move in if need be.

There are many small details such as lighting or doorknobs that still need to be switched out, but we have two weeks to finish doing those things. My husband will be off the whole first week after we move in so we can tackle what is left over then-including the tile back-splash in our kitchen. After moving in and getting the inside mostly done, we will get started on the outside! I painted shutters and the door(they were blue), but there are no shrubs around our house and ivy is taking over several of the trees in our front yard. Some things will be put off until the spring, but we'll get it looking better as soon as possible.
