With my first two children, I really never put much thought into their crib mattress. That makes no sense considering we spent hours finding a perfect mattress for our bed. We converted the crib into a toddler bed several months ago and I've often thought that our old mattress felt a little uncomfortable. It is very stiff and even crinkles a little when they move because of the waterproof covering. My final decision was made by the fact that the entire mattress is GREENGUARD® Children & Schools certified for indoor air quality and low chemical emissions to help create a healthier sleeping environment for my babies and that it was proudly made in the USA.  Baby #3 will be using her bassinet at first, but when we do put her in the crib, this mattress has square corners for snug fit.
