ISOTONER smarTouch® Gloves + Giveaway

The weather is just starting to cool off for us here and we're breaking out our gloves. One of the issues with using regular gloves is that I can't use my iPod Touch or iPad with them. I was recently introduced to the ISOTONER smarTouch® Gloves and they are quickly becoming something I use on a regular basis.
With smarTouch® gloves from ISOTONER®, you can operate handheld touchscreen devices while wearing gloves. They are compatible with most touchscreen devices including smartphones, mp3 players, ATM's, gas pumps and GPS devices.
  • The thumb and index finger are embroidered with conductive thread that conveys an electrical impulse to the touchscreen. This unique patent pending construction gives these gloves exceptional performance, allowing for pinpoint accuracy.
  • Signature stretch materials provide superior fit and flexibility
  • The non-slip palm improves grip
  • Water repellent
Not only do my hands get cold when we're out and about, but they also turn to ice at home if I'm using a touchscreen device. I feel like I'm constantly balling my hands up during the winter in an effort to keep my fingers warm. The smarTouch Gloves feature ISOTONER’s signature Stretch materials for superior fit and flexibility, and have a conductive thread embroidered on the index fingers and thumbs that conveys the electrical impulse to touch screen devices – allowing uninterrupted typing and texting in the cold.  They are very soft, comfortable, and keep my fingers nice and toasty.  I used their sizing chart and asked for M/L which fits perfectly!

The smarTouch Gloves are perfect for everyone on my list - even for those that aren't as high tech. While my dad doesn't own a touchscreen device(yet), he can also use these for his GPS or at gas stations that require him to use his hands.

Visit the ISOTONER smarTouch® Gloves site to learn more and to view all of the different styles that are available.

Vera Bradley Weekender & Hatbox Cosmetic Bags

Vera Bradley has become a brand that I know and love. My sister has been a huge fan for years, but I got my first Vera Bradley bag a year ago and have been using it ever since. With many short trips coming up, I knew the Weekender Travel Bag and the Hatbox Cosmetic Bag would be used often.

I was sent the Floral Nightingale print in both bags. Measuring in at 18 ½" x 12 ½" x 8 ½" - 6 ½" with a handle drop of 48 ½", the weekender is a fantastic size. I have two aunts that live within a few hours of here, so getting away for the weekend is something we do fairly often. This bag fits clothes for all four of us in it and features several pockets for organization. There are 4 interior pockets, two front pockets, and a fully zippered back pocket. The large strap is also removable if you'd rather use the smaller fabric straps.

The Hatbox Cosmetic Bag measures 7¼" x 7" x 3½" and is incredibly adorable. It features a handle that can slide flat when not being carried and two zippered pockets for smaller items. My biggest problem with my old cosmetic bag is that I was always digging in it because the sides would close in when I wasn't holding them open. This hatbox holds its shape so that I can always see everything inside and its fairly hard so my cosmetics don't get crushed.

I am thrilled that I will be traveling in style with my Vera Bradley Travel Bags. Vera Bradley also offers a large selection of bags for all of the women on your holiday list.

aden + anais 4 Pack Muslin Swaddles & Muslin Sleeping Bag + Giveaway

I have been hearing about aden + anais for years, but haven't had the opportunity to try out their products. With baby #3 due in just 3 months, I finally have a reason to use the large selection of baby products that aden + anais offers. They sent us the 4 pack Princess Posie Swaddle blankets and a Princess Posie Sleeping Bag.

The swaddle blankets and sleeping bag are all made of 100% cotton muslin. Muslin’s light, open weave allows a baby’s body temperature to regulate itself naturally helping to prevent overheating. The more you wash them, the softer they get. Each sleeping bag zips from the bottom, making diaper changes easy, and a strip of muslin over the zipper by baby’s face provides extra comfort. aden + anais offers several adorable prints for both girls and boys. I got the Princess Posie print in both the swaddles and sleeping bag. We used Isabella's babies to model them.

Measuring in at 47” x 47”, the Muslin Swaddles can be used for many years of baby's life. At 2 years old, the swaddles are plenty big enough for Isabella to still use as a blanket. The blanket is even folded in half in this picture and wrapped around her and both of her babies. It can be used for many things such as stroller and car seat covers while baby is sleeping, burp cloths, nursing covers, tummy time blankets, changing pad covers, and much more. With the swaddle being so large, it will be harder for baby to kick it off and will keep her snug for longer than most blankets.

In addition to the swaddles and sleeping bags, aden + anais also offers bibs & burp cloths, towels, dream blankets, and more. They would make great gifts for new babies this holiday season and will be perfect for baby showers as well.

Fisher-Price Learn through Music TouchPad

Like most small kids, Isabella adores electronics and is always wanting to play with my iPad, ipods, and her brother's video games. The only issue is that these devices are a little too old for her to actually play and learn from. Fisher-Price recently introduced us to their new Learn through Music TouchPad which is perfect for children over 2.

The Learn Through Music TouchPad is an updated version of the original, popular Learn Through Music system with an all-new sleek, portable design and touch screen interface. The 30% larger screen and 42 touchpoints specially designed for little fingers, make it fun for preschoolers to learn fundamental lessons through rhythm, rhyme, repetition and music. The TouchPad features seven different app buttons including Home page, Music to replay songs, Question, Secret Spot that reveals a hidden element, Game for game play and Left and Right scroll to advance and rewind the screens. Kids can also advance and rewind screens by simply swiping across the surface! The system comes complete with a microphone for interactive sing-a-long learning, a jack for headphones, one learning cartridge and features an easy carry handle for portability. Six additional learning cartridges are sold separately for $19.99.
When I first learned about the TouchPad, I assumed it was an animated screen, but it's not. It is actually several pictures that scroll as children push different buttons or swipe their hand across it. While the pictures are interactive when touching the screen, they only make sounds or say something and are not animated at all. It is almost like playing with a book that lights up and makes sounds when touching the pages.

The TouchPad has seven "buttons" along the bottom that allow children to navigate through different activities. There are the two scroll buttons on either side, as well as Home page, Music, Question, Secret Spot, and Game buttons. If you look closely, you can see different points on the screen are lit up. When you sing a song, go to a new page, touch a certain spot, or play a game, different points will light up.

Isabella is 2 years old and as you can see, the TouchPad is pretty large for little laps. She drops it easily on car trips or when in her stroller because it is too big for her to hold and play with the screen. She does love the microphone that comes with it. She can sing along when it is playing songs.

While the TouchPad has a lot for her to learn and features a touch screen, she still goes after our tablets and video games. I think she prefers an animated screen rather than pictures that light up and our devices are much smaller and lighter which make them easier for her little hands to hold and play with.

MyBabyClothes.Com - Baby & Toddler Clothes Review + Giveaway

Some of my favorite baby and toddler outfits have come from MyBabyClothes.Com. They carry boutique clothing and accessories from several different brands such as Mud Pie Baby, Ruffle Butts, and Zilly Bean. Isabella was recently sent the Bonnie Jean Zebra Dress and Pant Set.
This adorable dress features a softly ribbed long-sleeved top in classic back embellished with a wide hot pink bow with a bit of shine beneath the neckline. The short, flared skirt is adorned in gorgeous horizontal black on white zebra stripes and a matching wide pink ribbon is laced in and out of the skirt just above the hemline and tied in a pretty bow at her left side. The outfit also offers up sweet solid black leggings with tiny hot pink bows on the outside of each leg. A great outfit for a special event, it is also comfortable enough for day long wear.

At 2 years old, Isabella is extremely active in keeping up with her brother, but still enjoys "dressing pretty". As soon as I saw this outfit, I knew it would fit her personality perfectly. It is so incredibly cute, but comfortable enough for her to play in.

She refused to sit still and let me get a good picture, so that is as good as it gets. I happened to have a hairbow that matched perfectly, so the outfit is complete. With baby #3 arriving in just 3 months, I've been scouring the My Baby Clothes website trying to find something for her to wear at the hospital. Here are a few of my favorites.

Visit MyBabyClothes.Com to view their full selection of both girls and boys clothing and accessories. They carry sizes nb to 4T and have FREE SHIPPING on everything.
