The box arrived pretty late one night and Evan immediately spotted it in the kitchen the next morning. He was so excited and was dancing around while I opened the box. He will be 4 next month and really didn't need any instructions as to how to play it.
The graphics are not that great and the screen is tiny. If you're inside at night with an overhead light, you sometimes have to get really close to the screen to see it because there is a little glare. With that being said, Evan really does enjoy playing with the laptop and has even taken it to my mom's house several times.
By turning Wilson, you can choose between the five different modes - Adventure, Exploration, Language, Numbers, and Games. Evan switches modes pretty often which helps him keep many of his skills fresh in his mind.
Many of the games give you a choice to either use the arrows and select keys or the numbers and alphabet on the keypad. As a mom, I appreciate the fact that it also has a volume control!
I love that the VTech Chuggington Laptop is making learning fun for Evan. Isabella is obviously too young to know how to play the games, but she loves pushing the buttons and watching the screen.
