Wordless Wednesday - Tribute To My Grandma
My grandma passed away Monday night. We were all incredibly close and I spent many days after school with my grandparents. My Granddad passed away when I was 12 and my grandma then spent many days at our house. Several years later she got into a bad car accident and had a few infections while in the hospital which started her downward spiral of dementia. She never went back to her home and lived with family until she had to be put in a home. She was extremely feisty and wasn't always so sweet with the staff, but she recognized us and sometimes knew us by name. I can't help but smile when I think of her and all of her quirky ways. She will be missed, but I know she's in a much better place. This is a picture of Me, my Grandma holding Evan, and my Mom.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My grandmother passed when I was 12 and while it was devastating I also knew that she was finally in peace without pain and that made it more bearable.
Words cannot describe the sorrow you must feel. It's wonderful that you have great memories and photos to guide them. Glad you were able to spend time with her and be close to her. I'm sure she appreciated what a fabulous person you turned out to be and the family you provided her with. ((hugs)) to you and yours.

Once again, I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing. I lived with my grandparents (and my mom), too, and it certainly creates a special bond spending so much time with someone. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thank goodness she passed, it must have been horrible for her to be trapped in her body that way<< God is good.

So sorry for the loss of your grandmother... I lost mine about 12 years ago and still miss her terribly. Hope you only know of joyous things from here on in and may g-d grant you and your family strength through this difficult time.
