To be honest, this set took forever to put together, but my husband did it all(except for about 3 hours of my brother's help) by himself.  I strongly suggest grabbing some family, friends, or neighbors to come over one day and have everyone pitch in to put the set together.  It also didn't help that we had an outdated set of instructions(they have since put the new set in there and this will no longer be a problem), so some of it was done incorrectly and we had to wait for replacement parts to redo it.  My husband also had a business trip and was sick during the month long assembly process. Here is a picture of most of the pieces, but definitely not all.

This is the main frame and the only part that my husband had help on. Opening the boxes, sorting through the parts, running out to get a framing square(you need one to build it), and putting this main part together took about 3 hours.

Check out how many screws go into this thing! It is definitely sturdy!

We had to find the most level place in our backyard to put the playset.  I tried to find somewhere with great shade too.  With my husband's crazy work schedule, we're not always sure what time he will be home, so it was several nights later before he was home at a time where he could work on it for a while. The floors of the top part was next and Evan "helped".

I helped him put the beam on a few nights later.

He put the slats up on the sides next.

The next step is where he started having problems. The directions that were in the box were outdated and didn't specify many things. For example, it didn't say to put the shingles on starting from the top. My husband started at the bottom, so there was a large gap at the top. I emailed the company immediately and they realized that we had the wrong instructions, so they sent out a new set and several new supplies to fix anything that had been done wrong. They were extremely helpful and there at any time for questions that we had.

While waiting for the supplies, we went ahead and put the swings on since the beam was fine. The kids were so extremely excited!

He was able to quickly redo the top part and finish the bottom. We replaced one of the regular swings for a baby swing that we already had. You definitely need to have some experience with wood to be able to put the set together. Most of the wood is pre-cut, but none of it is pre-drilled. Luckily, my husband is extremely handy. At first I tried counting up the hours it took to put together, but after part had to be redone, I quit. I think if you got a few guys to work on it, they could get it knocked out over a weekend! Unfortunately my dad and brother both had to work and we had other things to do on weekends.

I knew that the set would be a huge hit-but I underestimated just how much they would play with it! Evan was so excited because this slide is higher than the one that was on his old Metal set and he compares it to the ones at the playgrounds that we play on.

Evan fell in love with a rock climbing wall at a local playground several months ago and was thrilled when he saw his play set would have one.

The kids adore having picnics and this has two picnic tables. Isabella is siting on the bench outside of the side table, and Evan is actually sitting on the top of the table of the other one.

They had almost completely quit using our metal one because it squeaked and the slide broke on it. This one obviously doesn't squeak and they are now constantly asking us to push them on the swings. Evan has even learned to pump his legs and swing himself!

Swing-N-Slide offers many different add-ons and accessories for their sets. They sent my kids the Cars steering wheel and the Disney Princess Phone/Mirror/Worksheet. The Juneau already comes with a steering wheel, but Isabella wants to do everything that Evan does, so having another steering wheel is perfect. They can both pretend to drive.

They are always "calling someone" with this play phone.

I am constantly catching Isabella making faces at herself in the mirror.

The quality really is great and the set is extremely sturdy, but there were a few pieces of wood that split.

The attention to detail simply exceeds my expectations. Look how cute the little windows and flower boxes are on the top and bottom playhouse parts.

I think it is best to get these sets when the kids are young so that they get maximum use out of it. That is Isabella at the wheel, and as you can tell, she still has many years to grow into the set. This may be a big purchase, but kids will get many years of use out if it. The Juneau has so many features that extend playtime such as the picnic table, play houses, and rock climbing wall.  We have separate playhouses and picnic tables, but if we would have had this set first, we never would have needed to get those.  The Juneau has all of that and more!  I look forward to years of fun with this set. My husband already said he would figure out a way to take it apart and fit it on a large trailer to take with us when we finally sell our house.  This wooden play set makes it where we have our own playground right in our backyard!

Ok, this puts my swing set to shame and I thought it rocked! I love the "house" space. That's Gavin's favorite part other then the spiral slide!

I am in total awe of it - I can barely type! It IS like a playground! I'm so sad we have such a tiny yard - I would love to have something like that in our backyard for our children to play on. (and, to be honest, I'm sure my husband and I would play on it, too!)

Great review!

That set looks awesome! We had one in our old back yard and I miss having it so much. I bet your kids are totally over the moon. Swing-N-Slide seems like they have some great products and they aren't that expensive for what you are getting either.

We've actually been shopping sets like this for our son. Don't plan to purchase this year..but next. Thought we'd do some price so we can start saving. Have to say, this is without doubt, one of the better sets I've seen for the price. The real cheap ones are so dinky that I'd worry about safety. Also, I really like all the little options on this set.

It looks like it was a lot of work to put the Juneau Wood Play Set together with so many parts to assemble, but oh my, the places kids can go with their imaginations is this fantastic backyard wonder that has so many great features! I love it! Great review & photos - thanks!

This playset looks amazing!!! As my husband works at trying to piece back together ours that was rotting away, I wish we had the money to purchase this! I think the details just make it the most perfect outdoor playhouse for my kids. My only concern would be how well it would hold up in the Arizona heat/sun. Please please let there be a giveaway for one of these!!! singnsk8(at)hotmail(dot)com

I think I would have cried opening a box to find that many bags of screws. In the end though, it looks like it was worth the labor of putting it together. I can see your kids playing on that for a very long time!
