Nachos Fajitas Recipe For Cinco De Mayo

My family likes to go to this one Mexican Restaurant and mom and I always split a huge plate of nachos piled high with meat, peppers, onions, and cheese. We decided it really couldn't be that hard to make, so we made our own version.

As I've expressed before, we rarely use a measuring cup, so here are my best guesses at the ingredients - feel free to adjust accordingly! This made enough for about 8 of us(that includes 2 little people that don't eat very much).

2 Bell Peppers
1-2 Onions
3-4 Chicken Breasts
3-4 thin steaks cut into strips
1/4 cup Teriyaki basting sauce
1 packet Taco Seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Bag of scoops
White Cheese Dip(see pic below)
Sour Cream

Cut the bell peppers and onions into strips

Cut the steak and chicken into strips. We went ahead and put most of the Teriyaki Basting Sauce on top and then sprinkled with salt pepper.

Cook meat in a pan, then add peppers and onions. Mix in a little Teriyaki Basting Sauce and most(if not all) of the Taco Seasoning Pack.

Top with white cheese dip and sour cream. I'm sure you can make some sort of white cheese sauce, but this stuff is soooo yummy. We get it at Sam's - its a tiny bit spicy but tastes great!

What are your Cinco De Mayo plans?

Yum! We love that white cheese. I get mine at Walmart back by the deli area and it is almost as good as the stuff in the restuarant! We are going out tonight and I can't wait:) said...

Oooh we love that white cheese dip from Sam's too! Its not exactly the same as the one my fave local mexican restaurant serves, but it will do. Thanks for the recipe. We actually had burritos yesterday and I went to Zumba so I felt like I celebrated :)
