Matchbox Big Rig Buddies™ Scrap Yard Adventure Playset Review + Giveaway

Evan's absolute favorite thing to play with is cars/trucks/tractors/trains. If it has wheels on it, he'll push it around our house for hours. He's been lining some of his cars and trucks up and making them ride together, so I knew he was finally old enough for some Matchbox playsets! Matchbox sent us the Big Rig Buddies™ Scrap Yard Adventure Playset for him to test out.

This adventurous play set is the perfect environment for your Mini Big Rig Buddies to have some fun. Inspired by the Big Rig Buddies DVD, this set includes exciting and challenging scrap yard obstacles like wheels, elevators, barrels and connection points that transform your favorite characters. Mix and match the sets to customize your own Big Rig Buddies world.

This is the box that it comes in.

It requires a little basic assembly before they can start playing. Here are the pieces that it comes in. I had it put together and ready to play in about 5 minutes.

The playset only comes with one of the Big Rig Buddies, which makes sense if you already have a set of the buddies, but we didn't have any before we got this playset. I think it should have at least two in a set. This little platform is pretty cool. You put the truck on it and can move the lever up to make him "stand up" and then side to side to make him turn.

The set has many separate activities for the truck to do. Evan's favorite is putting him in the barrel and having him roll down the ramp.

Isabella likes to get in on the action too, which is another reason I wish the playset came with at least 2 trucks. There are plenty of small pieces in the playset, so be sure to watch carefully if you have smaller children playing with it. Isabella is really good about not putting things in her mouth, but I still "play with them" when she wants to play with the playset.

My kids have spent a lot of time playing with this set and I absolutely recommend it if your children like playing with cars and trucks! My kids have pushed this truck around the track more times than I can count.
