Parenting Questions Answered - Easter Outfits

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I have had a really hard time this year finding Easter outfits for the kids. While they're still little I want them to be somewhat "matchy" and didn't find anywhere that had a great selection for boys and girls in my kids' sizes.

I got a super cute dress for Isabella, but it has pink and I really didn't want to dress Evan in pink, so I decided to start over. I couldn't find anything that was very "matchy", but at least had some of the same colors(blue/white). I just got them today(cutting it close, much?), but I'll post a pic later. I'm wearing a new black dress with a blue(lighter than what they're wearing) cardigan.

If you have more than one child(and celebrate Easter) do you dress them up "matchy matchy" for Easter or just dress them in whatever? What are you wearing?

I had the EXACT same problem! I went to 4 different stores yesterday looking for a dress for Aubrey and there was literally 1 dress in her size at all 4 stores! I just thought that I waited until the last minute and everything was picked over. When I asked the checkout woman if they had their Easter outfits somewhere else, she said they didn't receive very many little girl outfits this year. I will definitely start earlier next year so that I have more of a choice. Can't wait to see your pics!

This year my children are matching in blue with my daughter wearing a dress with blue flowers on a white background and my son in khakis and a blue button down shirt. My mom found my daughters dress 2 months ago and it was easy to pick a shirt for my son to go with. Last year they sorta matched with my daughter in pink & brown and my son in green & brown.

My boys always match but I have a feeling it is a lot harder when you have a boy and a girl. This is actually the first year that I haven't made at least one of my kiddos outfits for Easter...I just happened to find cute shorts in all three of their sizes:) Making something or getting something special made is always an easy way to make sure they match!

Most years I dress them matchy...but with a 2 year old and an almost 8 year old, that doesn't work now.
This year they will coordinate with the color light blue. I bought a new dress but I am not sure if I will wear it or not. (Not sure if I love it)
I sold a TON of neck ties and bow ties in my etsy shop to moms wanting either matching or coordinating for their kids. I've seen shops that sell a dress and matching neck tie for boys...I thought that was a VERY smart idea! If I made girl things, I'd totally do that!

My daughter usually gets a dress for my granddaughter, and finds a polo to match for my grandson. Sometimes she lucks up and finds a button up shirt in gingham. It's getting harder as the grandson is 6, but he hasn't really noticed yet that they match. LOL

I only have one daughter, but I think I'd dress my kids based on what they like, even if I had more than one. Although, I have to say, pictures when families are wearing clothes that match or go are *awfully* cute. But my daughter has a mind of her own, and right now, her color is PURPLE. Always. And it's not so much mine, so we won't be matching at all this year. I have no idea what I'm wearing. Whatever dress happens to still fit me, I guess!

I really like to match my kids' Easter (and Christmas) outfits too! Last year I went with a pastel green for the kids, but this year Easter was a little more difficult. I finally ended up getting a super cute dress and little suit from Shopko! The dress is purple and white and the suit is black with a purple collared shirt. My husband and I will each be wearing a little bit of purple as well so we all match. :)

Hannah's dress is lavender and I couldn't find much complementary for Eli so he will be in green. But they will look cute. Just not matchy. :)

I got both my kids their clothes at Children's Place. I just went today and bought Johnny's.

I'm having the very same problem! I want to get my little guys matchy plaid short-sleeve shirts! I did find them at Carter's, but at $20 a pop it was too expensive! Hoping I find some tomorrow! Have a hoppy Easter! :D

I don't have two kids but if I did I would probably make them matchy matchy at least for the first couple of years!

I really tried! I have a 4 yo daughter and 4 month old. I bought them matching outfits but my 4 yo insisted on wearing a different dress. Kinda made me sad ya know? I also have a 2 yo son but I dressed him in his own thing, he didn't even match his sisters in color

I know this is really late, but I have two sets of twins and for "big" events I do dress them alike. It is tough to find the right sizes and coordinating colors for the 4 of them!! The girls turned 4 on Easter and the boys are 1.5 years old. Any other time I don't dress them alike.
