He Loves Me - He Really Does! Happy Valentine's Day

My husband and I have been married for 5 1/2 years and "together" for 7 1/2. He has learned that while I'm not really into Valentine's Day as far as flowers and cards go(those things are expensive and/or die), I do like an occasional romantic gesture. However, my poor husband is not a romantic - at all. I was really surprised when I woke up to this - A single rose(again-I'm really practical and he knows I'd beat him up if he spent a lot on flowers), a box of chocolates(YUM), doughnuts(my fav), and a handmade card. Between me, you, and the lamp post, I also spotted strawberries and wine in the fridge.

Today is a beautiful, sunny day in the 70s and I will be out having Vday parties at Evan's school and playing outside in the sun with my loves. Hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day!

That's my kind of Valentine's Day! I'd feel horribly guilty if my husband spent money on a dozen roses or a store bought card. Doughnuts though, I'd feel no guilt there. Enjoy your day!

That is SO sweet! I'm with you... I don't want him to spend a lot. I feel guilty! My roses were from the grocery store (which is perfect!), and he surprised me with a favorite meal. It really is the thought that counts. Happy Valentine's Day!
