The Baby Lua Car Seat Cover From Dittany Baby Review And Giveaway

Strangers love to look at tiny babies. They come up to new moms and get right in the baby's face to "ooh and ah". I don't know many moms that don't cringe when these strangers make a beeline to their strollers or shopping carts.

Photobucket

Dittany Baby has a very stylish way to keep onlookers at a distance. As their website states, they are a group of WAHM's and a dad who work each day to keep the products you love made in the highest quality fabrics and standards. All of their products, including the packaging, are made in the USA.

Dittany Baby sent me the Fab Flowers Baby Lua.

The Baby Lua has several purposes. When a sleeping baby has the Lua to cover them, strangers will usually stay away. If it is raining or snowing out, the Lua will keep baby warm and dry. It can even be used as a nursing cover! Here is our Baby Lua over Isabella's car seat.

The Baby Lua is incredibly easy to use. Simply throw it over the car seat and you have instant protection from UV rays, rain, wind, snow, and onlookers. I used blankets to cover the car seat when Evan was a baby and they would always fall off and land on the dirty ground. The Lua stays put and even has a place to tie it to the handle.

The hole at the top allows you to look in on your sleeping baby. When it is time to carry them, the car seat handle is exposed so that you can use your arm or hand to carry it. If it's time to nurse your baby, simply slip it over your head and you have an instant nursing cover.

The fabric is soft and stylish. I absolutely love the Fab Flowers pattern. It is made of 100% cotton and can be thrown in the washing machine. The Baby Lua is a great no-hassle car seat cover. I have received several comments from other moms about how they wish they would have had the Baby Lua when their children were tiny.

Aloha Friday

Photobucket

It's Aloha Friday over at An Island Life! Answer my question and make sure you post one on your blog! After that, go relax because today is Friday!!

My question for this week is:

Do you exercise regularly? What is your favorite type of exercise?
NO! I'm not a huge fan of exercise, but I realize that two kids have permanently messed my body up and exercise is now a must. I bought an elliptical machine and it is kicking my behind! I don't mind going on walks, but they're usually at my toddler's pace.

Entertain In Style With The Latur All Natural Casserole Dish From Eden Home

I have a huge family and it seems like we're always throwing wedding and baby showers. We all get some of our best Serveware together to make a great spread. We never stop to think about how environmentally friendly the products we're using to the serve the food on is.

Eden Home has a great selection of Serveware along with several other products. As their website states, Eden Home offers a complete selection of organic, all natural and eco-friendly products for your home and life that won't have you compromising your sense of style. Their large variety of organic products include everything from bedding to toys.

Eden Home sent me the Latur All Natural Casserole Dish.

The Latur All Natural Casserole Dish is made entirely by hand using the ancient art of sand casting by pouring premium quality alloy molten aluminum into sand molds, then going through four levels of polishing. Recycled aluminum is the primary component of this hardworking metal, which reflects the shine of silver but requires no polishing. Goes from refrigerator to oven to table and is perfectly suited for today's casual lifestyles.

Many people are starting to eat more organic food, but they don't think about all of the unhealthy materials that many dishes and containers are made from. This Casserole Dish is made of natural materials and is environmentally friendly.

Not only is it a "green" product, but it is beautiful. A care pamphlet came with the Casserole Dish telling me more about it. I learned that more than 12 different sets of hands were involved in making my dish. It is amazing to me that people still take that much love and care into making products.

The Casserole Dish is just as practical as it is stylish. It can be used to chill food in the refrigerator or can be heated up to 350 degrees in the oven. Hand washing is required, but I am fine with using as much care with the dish as possible. You also want to avoid cutting on the surface so that you don't scratch the finish.

Visit Eden Home to view all of their other amazing "green" products.

Buy It!
The Latur All Natural Casserole Dish is actually on clearance for $41.50(down from $83).

When To Say, "I'm Done"

I have two healthy, happy babies. OK-well, a toddler and a baby. I love them to pieces and enjoy spending all of my time with them. BUT, I still want another baby(not right this second-but one day).

Realistically, I'd have 6 kids or more if space and money wasn't an issue. When I was pregnant with Isabella, I knew that she may be our last. I cherished every second-except for my HUGE swollen feet. BUT, I still want another one.

My husband would like it if we were done having kids. He says we have a boy and a girl, what more do we want? I grew up with a brother and a sister, and I would have a HUGE family if given the chance.

I know that he would have another one if I really wanted to, but would he be happy? How do you know when you're ready to be done having babies? How many children do you have? Do you want more?

Display "Art" In Style With The Vat19 Li'l DaVinci Store And Display Art Cabinet Review And Giveaway

Evan has become quite the little artist. He even tries to draw on my walls whenever he can. I keep telling him that we can only draw on paper and have been trying to come up with a good way to display his "art".

Vat19 has several unique products to help with every day life. They were initially launched in 2001 to promote the sale of their line of independentVat19 introduced its first non-DVD product in 2001 and have been searching for other "curiously awesome" products to promote ever since.

Vat19 sent us the 8.5x10 Li'l DaVinci Store And Display Art Cabinet.

The art cabinet is available in two sizes, 8.5 x 11 and 12 x 18. It looks like any other matted frame. There is a discreet hinge on the side that allows you to open the front and swap out artwork. The frame holds up to 50 pieces of art at a time so you can have an archive of some of your child's best work.

I fell in love with the idea of the Display Art Cabinet as soon as I saw it. My refrigerator is cluttered with all of Evan's art and I know it will just get worse as time goes on. I wanted a creative, yet elegant way to display it.

It is incredibly easy to use. This is a picture of the back of the frame so that you can see the latch. You just flip the latch and open it up.

Place your work of art under the four corners and close the frame.

Then hang it for everyone to enjoy.

They will be perfect to decorate the walls in the playroom in our next house. Once we move and I measure the walls, I'll buy more of the frames in different sizes. You can hang them vertically or horizontally which would make a great collage of frames on any wall.

If you've been looking for a great way to display your child's art, this is the way to go. Visit Vat19 for all of their other amazing products such as this Taylor Digital Measuring Cup and Scale.

Or this Talking Photo Album!

Wordless Wednesday- 5 1/2 Months

I simply can't believe that my baby will be 6 months old in just over a week. It's really hit me this past week how big she actually is. She used to take up this tiny spot while I was feeding her, now her legs hang way over the side. I miss the tiny baby stage, but I look forward to everything still to come.

Can you tell that I REALLY enjoy having a girl? It turns me into a 6 year old child playing dress up. :)

Stroll In Style With The Zooper Bolero Review And Giveaway

I did a review on the Zooper Tango double stroller back in August shortly after Isabella was born. We still use it pretty regularly, especially for walks around the neighborhood.

Zooper contacted me and asked if I would review and introduce my readers to their Bolero single stroller. The Bolero is made of a lightweight aluminum frame so that is sturdy and weighs just 20 pounds. It folds up to 38L x 15.5W x 10H, making it where you still have tons of room for shopping bags in the back of your car. It is super stylish and available in 6 fantastic colors.

This stroller will be the only one you need. It accommodates newborns and toddlers up to 55 pounds! It will be a LONG time before my kids outgrow the Bolero. One of my absolute favorite features is that it is compatible with select infant car seats. You don't want to have to wake a sleeping baby just to put them in a stroller. With the Bolero, you can just take the car seat out and strap it to the stroller.

As with Zooper's other products, the Bolero comes standard with several accessories to give parents options. It comes with a bassinet, sleeping bag, cup holder, rain cover, and sun shade.

You have a few options when it comes to strolling your newborn or infant. As I mentioned before, you can use their car seat and strap it into the stroller if baby is snoozing in the car. There is also a bassinet with a newborn support head pillow and harness if you want a completely different look. Baby can also face the world if you recline the seat back all the way down. The seat can actually recline into 4 different positions which is great for smaller babies or napping toddlers. Even though Isabella is a little older than a "newborn", here she is in the bassinet.

I was worried that switching to a bassinet would be too time consuming, but once you see how to do it, it is really easy to do. First you take the canopy off and recline the seat into a flat position.

You then flip the footrest up and zip it shut.

Place the included bassinet over the seat and snap it into place.

There are two metal D-rings in the corners of the stroller seat that need come through the back of the bassinet.

The clips on the sleeping bag base will attach to the D-rings to keep it secure.

If it is a cool day, you can snap the corners of the sleeping bag down to keep them snug.

Reattach the canopy in the reverse position and you're ready to ride!

There is a nice size basket under the stroller that I was worried you wouldn't be able to access when using the bassinet feature. I was wrong because you can place things in from the front of the stroller. You can never place anything too big in the basket because of the bar on the back. My diaper bag is too big to fit in the basket, but I can hang it over the handle bar.

Another great feature is the canopy. It is incredibly large and can fold all the way down over the seat to keep the sun out of little eyes.

The Bolero is very easy to fold up. Simply push the button on the handle and point it down in a V, pull the knob on the back, and pull up.

The Zooper Bolero is incredibly safe with features such as reflective safety piping and a 5 point harness for both babies and toddlers. Visit Zooper to view all of the amazing features that the Bolero has to offer.

Meet Our New Baby!

I wanted to introduce you to our newest baby. I told you a few weeks ago that our dog went missing and Evan has been lost without him. A friend called and told us about some puppies yesterday and we went and picked one up.

Meet Darla, our new Black Lab. She had a bath as soon as we got home because she was super stinky. She's seven weeks old and is Evan's new best friend. There will be MANY more pictures to come.

I can't write this post without paying a little tribute to Rocky. We miss him like crazy!

Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System Review And Giveaway

My face always seems to be dry. I use a bunch of lotion and my makeup still doesn't seem to go on very smooth. I've been trying to find something that would help.

Clarisonic has a variety of products to aid with several different skin issues. Their mission is to develop and market technically advanced and clinically proven products that make a clear difference in skin care.

Clarisonic sent me the Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System.

The Clarisonic Mia is the compact version of the Clarisonic Classic. It is waterproof and includes a Cordless Clarisonic Mia, Compact pLink® International Charger, Sensitive Brush Head, and 1 oz. trial size Gentle Hydro Cleanser. Mine was not personalized, but the website states that with the purchase of the Mia, you will receive FREE personal engraving and FREE ground shipping within the continental United States.

The Clarisonic Skin Cleansing Brush uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to remove up to 6x the amount of makeup that manual cleaning will do. The Clarisonic is supposed to reduce the appearance of pores, improve skin tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve absorption of serums and moisturizers. The picture below shows a forehead before cleansing, then using the Clarisonic, and lastly manually cleansing.

I was extremely excited to use the Clarisonic Mia as soon as it arrived. I opened the package and read that I would have to charge it for a full 24 hours before I could use it. Needless to say, I was bummed that I would have to wait, but I plugged the charger into the wall and placed the end on the handle of the Clarisonic Mia and waited my 24 hours.

To use, you simply wet your face and the Mia with warm water. Remove any eye makeup before using the Mia. Apply your preferred cleanser to your face or the Mia and turn it on. With a gentle circular motion, use the Mia to clean your face starting at your forehead. The Mia will automatically shut off after 1 minute.

You can take the brush head off of the handle to clean it once a week. To clean the brush head and handle, simply rinse them with antibacterial soap and warm water. They recommend replacing your Clarisonic brush head every 3-4 months. Replacements are $25 each or $40 for two.

I love that it is waterproof and I can use it in the shower as part of my morning routine. It is really small so taking it with me on trips is really easy. It stays completely charged for 20 minutes, which is 20 uses. It even tells me when the battery is starting to run low by having the brush head pulse and the LED light blink. It requires 18 hours to get a full charge.

I admit that I was a little skeptical about the fact that it is supposed to make my skin feel smooth. I have tried several things, and the Clarisonic really does make my makeup go on easier. I don't have as many dry patches on my sking and it felt more even. I didn't see a noticeable difference in my pores, but my skin feels better and it doesn't take me forever to try and apply my makeup.

Buy It!
You can purchase the Clarisonic Mia™ Sonic Skin Cleansing System for $149 in pink, white, or yellow. With every Pink Clarisonic purchase, they will make a donation to help fund the fight against breast cancer.
