First, let me tell you about the kind of coffee drinkers we are. My husband is an avid coffee drinker and drinks more than one cup a day. I have always tried to watch my caffeine intake, so I only drink my morning cup of coffee - but I have to have it every morning. My husband likes more bold coffee, where I like flavored coffee or a good cup with chocolate creamer.
The machine is really easy to use. The on/off switch is on the top side. It does have an energy saving automatic turn off.
Even though the machine is really small compared to most(12.28 x 12.44 x 7.72), it still has enough room for a water tank. The water tank is on the back of the machine. The removable tank can hold 32 oz of water which will make about 4-6 cups of coffee/tea.
Before the first use, you need to run the water through the machine to clean it out. The lever at the top can go to either side. If you push it to the side that it is on now, it is hot water. Push it to the other side for cold water. My biggest problem with this machine is that you don't know how much water you should really put in each cup of coffee for each capsule. You have to manually stand there and turn the lever back to the middle to make the water stop flowing. You can walk away from most other machines while your coffee is brewing.
The capsule goes in this slot on the front. To puncture it, simply push the silver lever down.
Decide whether you want the water to be cold or hot and push the lever over to that side. When you have the amount of coffee that you want, flip the lever back to the middle position. The LED light keeps my coffee cup illuminated while I brew.
Getting the amount of water "just right" has been my biggest problem. I tend to put too much in and then my coffee is watered down. I also like to keep making the kids' breakfast or do other things while my coffee brews, so I wish I didn't have to stand there and watch it to make sure I cut it off at the right time. I know it only takes a few seconds to brew a cup of coffee, but every second is time that I could be doing something else other than watching my coffee cup fill up.
It comes with 12 capsules, but we were also sent a bag full of different capsules to test. I'm pretty sure I've tried all the flavors, but I still haven't found my "favorite coffee" for this machine. I really like the Chococino, but it is just hot chocolate-not coffee. I really wish that I could use my own coffee with the Circolo. Even though my husband and I both have very different taste when it comes to coffee, he hasn't found a capsule that he really likes either. Most come with a milk capsule and coffee capsule so that there is a froth at the top. It makes it feel/look more like we went to an expensive coffee shop to get coffee.
I absolutely love the fact that it has a 24 month warranty. I recently had a problem with my other single serve coffee maker and it only has a 1 year warranty. I was almost over my 1 year, so having a warranty with even more time makes this coffee maker very appealing.
The machine looks amazing and it really fits in better with my kitchen decor than any other coffee maker, but so far there isn't a coffee flavor that either of us really like. If they made it where I could brew my own favorite coffee in this machine, that Dolce Gusto Circolo would be the perfect fit for us.

It's a pretty neat looking machine, but it seems like it takes a lot of trial and error to get it just so for each person.
this is a good idea in my house as we almost never drink coffee, but feel bad offering instant coffee for our coffee drinking friends. my kids would be in heaven with the hot chocolate.
Krups makes an awesome product.
Oh wow, this is so unique looking!
I love all types of coffee... this is awesome looking

This looks really cool. i like the milk capsule so you can have froth on the top! I wouldnt want to be standing around watching my coffee brew either. I like it to just do what it supposed to and when i come back to it it's all ready for me. hmmmm.

I would love to try this machine! Awesome, thanks for sharing.
I have been wanting one of these for Hubby...he is the big coffee drinker...Me, I would probably go for the Chococino ;)
What a unique looking coffee machine. I think I would get frustrated with having to stand there waiting for it to brew also.
I love the look of the machine, but, like you, would find it annoying to have to stand by and wait to cut it off at the right moment! Maybe they'll be able to change that!
This would be handy to have for the early morning coffee. There would less waste by using this instead of putting on a whole pot of coffee. I like this concept of coffee on demand, not anticipating.
Mmm..The Chococino really sounds good. I'm a hot cocoa drinker. Must have one every morning. Depending on how strong the flavor, sometimes I do have to add more water so this machine might work for me. To get hot water at work I have to stand there and hold the button anyways so no problem there.
Great review. I love your honesty. I didn't know that you had to watch, while it poured. Hmmm. Boy, I could see messess in the early morning, while I'm still asleep. Guess, it'll happen once, and I'll be trained. lol

I love the design but the it is a little too pricey for me.
Certainly a great design! I'm like you, I only drink one cup in the morning.
I like that it does have an energy saving automatic turn off.

The 24-month warranty is definitely a bonus. My products always seem to break right after the warranty expires! LOL
This looks amazing. I WANT! =)

This is SO going on my Christmas list!

I think it is rather "unique" looking and modern for a modern kitchen. But I really don't like the trial and error part of the water adding. I could see this on a Christmas gift list for some of my "sometimes" coffee drinking friends.
I have a single serve machine that I love (k-cups are great) and I can use my own coffee brand (flavored or not) or their cups. The only thing I have found is that unless you use an extra bold blend the big travel mug size isn't strong enough (too much water for the cups) but other than that - it works great for us.
After reading this review, I still want a Keurig! I am really the coffee drinker of the house. My husband teases me about my "addiction". lol. The only thing I like better about this machine is the milk frother. I loves me some froth. How can they expect people to stop at the right amount BEFORE they've had coffee. Silly.
I love this! It's small! It's cute! We have a regular coffee maker and hardly ever use it because of space and we don't drink a whole pot. It's easier for us just to fix us a cup of instant coffee. So this one would be great to have in our house!!! dawn.at.south@gmail.com
I am not a coffee drinker at all but my sister would kill for one of these things!!
I am a big tea drinker so I love that it makes tea. I probably would be bad about standing and waiting to cut it off because I do more than one thing at a time too. I love the single serve idea though. Thanks for the great review!
This would be so handy. My hubs and I like different kinds of coffee. One cup at a time at home would be so much cheaper than coffee shops.
Well, you are correct, the machine is uber cool and sleek. I personally have not had good luck with single serve coffee machines. I am in love with the idea of trying different types of coffee each day but in the end, I think I would stick with my boring old store brand Breakfast Blend to kick start my morning.
My fiance really wants this coffee maker!
I like the option of cold or hot water but the amount of water issue definitely would be frustrating, especially while trying to make a cup of coffee with two kids running around. Hard to always focus on something else. I also prefer to buy coffee on sale, not being stuck to only using a specific brand/type. singnsk8@hotmail.com
I would love to try this coffee maker. I don't have one. I make my coffee with instant and a teakettle
I have a really small kitchen so I'm always on the lookout for small appliances that don't take up a lot of room on the counter.
I would love one of these i am a coffee fanatic!
This would be the perfect gift for someone who loves coffee and needs nothing else. Although, I have to say it isn't the most frugal of appliances. But I guess it was never intended to be!
I like the idea of being able to brew a cup at a time, but not having to sit there and monitor how much water is going into the cup. I am like you I have other things to do in the morning than sit there and watch the coffee pot.

Wow, this looks a lot different than any coffee maker I've ever seen, very modern. I like that it can add to the beauty of a kitchen instead of distract from it. I would have a problem with the fact that I couldn't walk away from it to let it brew but I would be willing to try it out. Thanks for the review.
I love this. Perfect way for my hubby to stop wasting coffee in the full pot he makes every morning!!
I love how it not only makes coffee...which is blecchie to me...but tea AND hot chocolate...my wee folks are always drinking hot chocolate and this would prolly be a very useful gadget in my house...the hubby loves his coffee...so it would be a very versatile appliance in this household~!!
Hmmm... This coffee maker looks really neat, but the whole getting the water amount right, and not being able to walk away from the machine when it is brewing would drive me nuts!
I'm not a coffee drinker but this makes it look simple and almost tempting. My Mom however would be in Heaven with one of these.
My husband and I are serious coffee drinkers - and my husband makes us cold brew coffee from fair trade and usually organic coffee which is fabulous. But sometimes he gets a little behind in the process, so we have to brew a cup, and the coffee machine we have is pretty old & tempermental.
I really like the way that this coffee maker looks. It would look really nice in any kitchen. So many coffee makers, while fuctional, are just plain unappealing to the eye. . .not this one!
You and I are alike: I prefer the flavoured coffees as well, whereas my husband will drink anything that is black!!!!! He really has no preferences, as long as it is coffee and strong.

I am a huge coffee junkie. His would be great at night when I want a quick cup!

I love how it looks (much more stylish than my Keurig) but I think my Keurig works better (I'm like you - I'm doing 18 things at once in the morning when my coffee is brewing).
Thanks for your review - I've been looking at getting another single serve machine for work, and this gives me something else to consider besides Keurig.
I am not a coffee drinker, but this does look awesome.
