Funrise Toys - Tonka Strong Arm Garbage Truck Review + Giveaway

Evan is a huge fan of all modes of transportation. If he's not rolling a truck, train, tractor, or car around on the floor, he's outside riding on one. His imagination amazes me and I love watching him play with them.

Funrise Toys sent us a Tonka Strong Arm Garbage Truck.

The Strong Arm Garbage Truck is a burly free-wheeling vehicle with a multi-action trigger-lever built right in. Pull and rev-up the lever and watch the sparks fly in the arm’s window as the truck rumbles. Squeeze the lever’s trigger to raise the waste container into the truck’s hopper. There is also access to the back through a hinged door. This sturdy vehicle is kid-powered free-wheeling action!



This trash truck is so cool!  If you pull the lever and push back, the arms lift the dumpster up.

A hatch in the back opens to dump the "trash" into the back.  Evan likes to put his smaller Tonka cars and trucks in the dumpster to put in the back of the trash truck.

If the dumpster isn't being used, you can store it in the back.

I love the strong arm trucks.  We got Evan the Strong Arm dump truck last year and he pulls the lever and watches it race down the hallway.  Isabella plays with him and they push the trucks back and forth to each other.  The recommended age is 3+, but Evan has been playing with his dump truck one since he was 2.

I'm completely amazed at everything that the truck can do - without batteries.  I took it out of the box and it was ready to play with.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun truck for their child.  It is low maintenance and isn't loud or annoying.  It also won Dr. Toy's Best Picks Award for 2010.
