LeapFrog My First Book: Good Night Scout Review + Giveaway

I'm so glad that both of my children seem to really enjoy reading. Its one of those things that we try to make as fun as possible because literary skills are something children can start learning really early.



Leapfrog has several product that can make learning to read fun. They have some of the most innovative, technology-based educational products. They also have several resources available on their website to aid with the learning process including a special Parents Community and Learning Path.

Leapfrog sent us the My First Book: Good Night Scout.


This book would be a fun product for children as young as 6 months old. The book is covered with colorful illustrations and babies will enjoy flipping the pages. It reads the story and tells children to turn the page to keep reading. You can press the button at the top for it to sing lullabies.


It also acts as a nightlight. The button will stay lit and will sing 5-10 minutes of lullabies. If you press the button once when the book is closed, it will play for 5 minutes, simply press again for 10 minutes. There is a volume control on the back so you can turn it off, put it on low, or put it on high.

Evan likes to put Isabella beside him and "read" to her with this book. She also enjoys reading it all by herself. It is one of those toys that will be enjoyed for many years and will help show them that reading is fun.
