Bumbleride Flite Stroller And Carrycot Review + Giveaway

I have been using the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller since Isabella was born and have been very impressed with the quality. Now that Evan is getting older, he doesn't always ride in the stroller too. We also like to use two single strollers to take up less room when we're shopping at some stores.

Bumbleride has many single strollers to choose from as well. They are a company that has spent countless time on the design of their strollers. They understand the demands of life with small children and have tried to accommodate them in any way possible. They have made their strollers extremely practical while also allowing for style.

Bumbleride sent us their Flite Stroller in Lava. I liked the Ruby one, but I wanted the seats to be a darker color to compensate for everything that my kids will spill on it.

It really didn't take long at all to put together. My husband just put the wheels and canopy on and then we were ready to test it out.

Now that I don't need to lug around a heavy double stroller, one of the features I look for is lightweight. The Flite only weighs 13 pounds, but can hold a child up to 50 pounds. Evan is 3 and only weighs 32 pounds. When folded, the stroller is only 41.5L X 10.5W X 9H so it doesn't take up much room in my car.

As you can see, even though the basket is pretty large, it isn't very easy to get to.  There are bars in the way and I can only fit flat bags or toys in the bottom.  I've found that with smaller strollers, that is just the way things are.  The bars need to be there to keep it compact when it folds.  You can access a larger hole to put things in if you go through the front, but there are usually toddler legs dangling there.  I usually place my diaper bag over the handle bars or just put my wallet and cellphone in that zipper part.  You can also see the strap in the middle that allows me to adjust the seat.  It can sit straight up and has an infinite amount of recline positions for maximum comfort.







 The bottom of the seat is also adjustable.  If you have a toddler that can dangle their feet, you can push it down.  If you have a smaller baby or want to use the child carrier, you simply flip it up to give the seat additional length.

The bar between the handles is the only issue that I had with the Bumbleride Flite.  The middle randomly pops up.  I push it back down and it comes right back up.  It is not a safety issue because all of the other parts are locked into place, it is just annoying.  I emailed the company about it and suggested that they figure a way to lock it down.  They sent a replacement and it pops up too, but I still think it should be locked in to place.  The bar is there just so the handles don't push out too far.  I've found that if I put a bag that has any weight on the handle then it stays down.

As mentioned above, the Bumbleride Flite Stroller includes an infant car seat adapter so that taking a sleeping infant from the car to the stroller is incredibly easy.  Isabella was always willing to just sit in her car seat, so I would put her car seat straight in the strollers that we used until she was about 7 months old.  Around that time is when she started to want to look around so we would just put her in the stroller seat.

Here are all the parts of the Carrycot and then the Footmuff and seat liner that are also included.

It is extremely easy to attach the carrycot to the stroller.  It is collapsible so the first step is to take the mattress out, pull the bars apart, and  Velcro them in place.

Then you snap the canopy in place.

Next, put it in the stroller and snap the two straps on either side of the stroller.

Attach the two snaps at the bottom, and you're all done!

If it gets cold out you can snap the footmuff on to keep baby warm.

What completely rocks about the Carrycot is that it can be used as a bassinet inside your house!  The quality is amazing and I know that it will stand up to lots of use.  You can use the amazing handles to carry baby around and they can sleep wherever!

The footmuff can also be used on the stroller.  The carrycot came with a seat liner that can be attached by threading the straps through(I didn't because it is 95 degrees out and just too hot).  You can zip the footmuff on the attached seat liner on cold days to use as a sleeping bag.  I didn't strap Isabella in for this picture, so she was trying to escape-but you can see how it works.

I use this stroller with Evan the most.  Even though he likes to walk, he just turned three and likes to wander off so I strap him in as much as possible.  In this picture you can also see that the cup holder stretches to fit even a large drink.

I have been very happy with this stroller. It has all of the great features that I look for in a single stroller. It only weighs 13 pounds, has a cup holder, rain cover, and folds compactly. The carrycot is an amazing addition to the Flite. You will be extremely stylish pushing your baby in the carrycot. The seat cover and footmuff that are included with the carrycot are just icing on the cake.
