Happy 1st Birthday Isabella

I've been in denial all week. Surely it hasn't been 3 years since Evan was born? And didn't I just announce that I was pregnant with Isabella? How can she be 1 already?

Many of you have been here to share the whole journey with me. Some of you haven't. I had just started blogging and for my 100th post, I announced that I was pregnant. I told you in December that I *knew* it was a girl. I posted my first belly pic in February. I announced that she actually WAS a girl in March. She was born in August and I posted the first pictures.

You can go read the birth story, but she arrived pretty quickly and I begged them to let us go home the next day. That was the first night Evan had spent away from me and I was just ready to have our family of four in our house. She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces, but quickly lost some and stayed there for a little while.


I couldn't believe the difference in Isabella and Evan as babies. They were like night and day. Isabella would actually sit somewhere without being held. She almost never cried and slept through the night from the beginning(of course, there were some bad nights).


I was very impressed with how protective Evan was/is of her. He always wanted to hold her and kiss on her.


Here she is at almost 6 months.


I am waiting until next week to show all of the pictures from their birthday party, but here is one of her.


I'm holding my babies tight today and hoping that time will stand still for a little while. They're growing way too fast.
