What is your favorite cake/icing combination? If you don't like cake-what is your favorite dessert?
My husband's birthday is tomorrow and he requested a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. I love chocolate cake with chocolate icing or red velvet cake with cream cheese icing!

I'm going to have to jump on board the "carrot cake with cream cheese frosting" train. My mother-in-law makes one that is to die for!!
Love carrot cake and cream cheese frosting (minus the walnuts since I am allergic). Also love white cakes and vanilla frosting.

My cake would be any icecream cake but not sure what topping, so long as it's not slathered in icing /topping.

Red Velvet with a cream cheese/whipped cream frosting combo. The whipped cream cuts out some of the richness of the cream cheese frosting, which makes it tolerable for the mister LOL He doesn't like butter cream either. I swear he's nuts. ;)
i don't bake much, but i saw in one magazine chocolate, cheesecake combination, with chocobits bits all over and cream cheese frosting ... it looks so yummy!

I am not really a cake person. The only cake I LOVE is a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting from our local grocery store, Wegmans. We actually had them make my wedding cake. =D

Probably my favorite is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. But you can NEVER go wrong with yellow cake and rich chocolate buttercream frosting.
Now I'm hungry.

I love marble cake with vanilla or buttercream frosting.
Love them all - can't you tell? lol But I guess my most favorite would be the chocolate cake with whip cream strawberry/banana filling and chocolate icing.
