Banana Split Brownie

Mama's birthday was yesterday and this is the dessert she requested. It is easy to make, but is incredibly yummy! The 4th of July is coming up and this is sure to be a crown pleaser!

What you'll need:

You can switch up the toppings to whatever makes you happy-or you could even add more.
-Box of brownie Mix
-1/2 cup sugar
-2 8oz blocks of Cream Cheese
-bananas(I used 3)
-Chocolate Chips(use as many or as few as you'd like)
-Strawberries or Cherries(Optional-I highly recommend the strawberries)
-Pecans(optional-I don't like pecans so I usually don't add them)

Make the brownies according to the directions on the back of the box. I always add extra chocolate chips-but that isn't necessary. I used my 13x9 Wilton UltraGold pan.


When that is done baking, you can make the "icing". Heat the cream cheese in the microwave for a few seconds and then add about 1/2 cup sugar to the bowl. Stir it really well. Leave it sitting out until you're ready to use it(it is hard to spread if it is cold).


Let the brownies cool for a while after you take them out of the oven. Spread it over the cooled brownies.


I cut up 3 bananas and Evan helped me put them on top. I LOVE putting cut up strawberries on there too, but I didn't have any and didn't have time to run to the store.


We sprinkled a few mini chocolate chips on top-but you don't have to.


I melted a few more chocolate chips and put them in a Ziploc bag. I cut the corner off of one side and Evan helped me draw some squiggly lines.


Put it back in the refrigerator and serve cold. As a side note-it is also REALLY good in the morning with some coffee. :)
