I have recently learned how gross a mattress can be. It is the place where dust mites and other nastiness live.

Most mattress pads that I've seen are just a flat, thick, hard sheet that fits over the mattress. The True Silver Mattress Pad is more like a very luxurious down comforter. We spent a lot of money on our pillow top mattress, but this adds another layer of super softness. I feel like a princess when I sink into my bed at night.

5. Keep room at humidity below 50 percent to reduce dust mite population and mold growth.
6. Undress in another room to avoid bringing outside allergens into the bedroom.

8. Keep pets out of the bedroom.
9. Regularly launder stuffed animals.
10. Use a high-quality HEPA air filter in the bedroom.
