Father's Day - Keurig Special Edition Home Brewing System Review And GIVEAWAY

I look forward to my cup of coffee every morning. My husband and I used to argue over what brand we were going to brew to make one big pot of coffee. He likes bold coffee and I like flavored or breakfast blends.



Keurig allows us to make two separate cups of coffee so we don't have to argue about what kind we're going to brew. The word Keurig is derived from the Dutch word for excellence and that what this company strives to bring their customers. They allow you to make a fresh cup of gourmet coffee or tea, and hot cocoa Keurig Brewed® in less than a minute with no set-up. Either at home or in the office, using their large variety of K-cups allows everyone to enjoy their favorite kind.

Keurig sent us their Special Edition Brewing System and several boxes of K-cups.


The Special Edition Brewing System is our mid-luxury home brewing system that offers a blend of styling and convenient features. The Special Edition features chrome accents, a blue, back lit LCD display and three brew size options.

Programmable features include a Digital Clock, Adjustable Temperature and Auto On/Off. The 48 oz. removable water reservoir holds up to eight cups before refilling and for the removable drip tray allows for easy cleaning and the use of travel mugs.

Using a Keurig coffee machine is incredibly easy. The Special Edition has a 48 ounce water reservoir on the side so you don't have to fill it with water every time you want a cup of coffee. Before the first use, run hot water through the machine several time to clean it really well.


Simply select which size cup you'd like. There are three choices: 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10 oz.


Pick up the handle and put the K-cup in. There is a sharp needle on the top and the bottom to poke two holes in the cup. This pictures shows what the top looks like on the K-cup when it has been punctured at the top.


The Drip tray is removable so a travel sized cup can fit. It comes apart for easy cleaning.


The Blue Backlit LCD & Water Reservoir make it where everything is easy to see.


We couldn't be more happier with our Keurig Machine. It is really quiet and we each get the flavor of coffee that we want without wasting the rest of a pot. I have enjoyed trying out the different brands of K-cups. My new favorite flavor is Caramel Vanilla Cream!


One of the things that I love most about the Keurig Machine is that you can go out and buy the "My K-cup" so that you can brew any type of coffee that you want. You just fill the cup up with your favorite coffee and place it where the K-cup holder is. I went out and bought one so that we can still buy other brands that aren't available in K-cups.
