Isabella At 9 Months

My baby turned 9 months yesterday. My husband was off so we spent the day at a local park that has a splash pad for the kids. She just sat back and watched her big brother who she thinks is wonderful.

She is now not only pulling up, but cruising the furniture. She'll go from couch to chair to table to chair. I'm not ready for her to walk. I want her to be my baby for a long time.

We call her speedy because she crawls super fast to keep up with Evan.

Baby girl is STILL my toothless wonder and I'm starting to think we might be approaching a world record of how long a baby can go without getting teeth. :)

She eats a ton. She should be the size of a cow. She doesn't let the fact that she has no teeth get her down. She can eat a whole hamburger(that I break up into tiny pieces) all by herself.

She's getting into everything and trying to crawl up the stairs. Her favorite thing to do is stand at the TV and stick her fingers in the DVD/VHS player.

She is finally letting me rock her to sleep sometimes. She has always wanted us to just put her in her bed and she'll go to sleep on her own. I've been working hard at getting her to rock with me(I'm pretty sure she just gives up and falls asleep-but I LOVE holding my sleeping baby).

I bought a ton of 12 month clothes on clearance last year for her to wear this summer. They're all really big on her still so I'm glad I have a few super cute 6-9 month summer outfits. She's really tall for her age, but is still really skinny(I wish I was tall and skinny). I also thought she'd be in a size 3 shoe now so I have almost no shoes that fit her. I bought a bunch of size 3 summer shoes. She's still in a 2.

Here is a girly picture of her just in case you missed my tutu giveaway post.

I hope 9 months goes by a little slower than 8 months!

Your little bug is just precious!

Wanted to say that we went as far at 3 days before 16 months before our bug got her first tooth! lol! She'll be two at the end of this month & has cut 12 teeth in 7 months & its been HARD! Her teething has been completely backwards too - she got 4 on top and then her bottom 1st molars and then her top 1st molars and canines.

She is now cutting her bottom canine's and her 2nd teeth (bicupsids?) and has yet to cut her bottom front two teeth! I've seen them behind the gums for about 6 months so maybe they are crowded & the others need to come in first to make room! Its been interesting but a funny story for her baby book!

She is getting so big! I love the tutu! I wish I was tall and skinny too:) And I'm SUPER impressed with her eating a whole hamburger even without teeth! I have a friend who's little boy didn't get his first tooth until a week after his 1st birthday!

Happy 9 months - she sounds a lot like my little 9 month old what with the cruising and fast as lighteningness. :)

Oh, my. Has it been 9 months already?!? It seems that you JUST had her...as we all anxiously awaited news of her arrival.
Wow. I hope time slows down a bit for you!

Happy 9 months! I agree, it goes so fast. My little one is 11 months old now, and it's gone by in a blur. I think the second child grows up even faster than the first!

Love the pictures, she's so cute!

She's so cute! :) You probably love dressing her up!

My oldest cut teeth late too. I was especially worried with him because he was born with a cyst under his tongue making his tongue misshaped. The doctors told me that he may never be able to eat or talk right. He does both. But...from cutting teeth late, eating chunky solids for him came late.

I love her! Look at that tutu, that swimsuit. I could eat her up, Dee. BTW, I have a tall & skinny almost-10-month-old handsome little devil who eats like a horse and crawls super fast, too. Maybe we should arrange a bloggy marriage? totally kidding but it's funny. She does sound a lot like Isaac.

Wow, that was fast!! She is so pretty!
My daughter didn't get her first tooth until she was 13 months old... They say the longer they go before getting teeth, the healthier their teeth are. Hope that's true! =)

I adore the hat...She looks like she is modeling! I am so jealous that she falls asleep on her own. My baby still has to be rocked. I have terrible visions of us rocking a 25 pound 2 year old to sleep. LOL!
I love reading your updates on Isabella because she is the same age age my Marlie.
