WeeRide has several options for families on the go. They are dedicated to providing safe and reliable cycling comfort for the entire family. WeeRide offers a great selection that includes center mounted child carriers, a tow behind trailer, a cycling trainer, and more.
WeeRide Send us the Kangaroo LTD Special Edition Bicycle Child Carrier.
The ultimate in child comfort and safety! All the features of the Kangaroo carrier, but with the added bonus of thick seat and back padding as well as a padded shoulder harness. Also exclusive to the LTD is the deluxe safety harness with oversized buckle system. You get the same improved passenger carrying position of our Center Mount seat with more child interaction and safer weight distribution.
One person could put it on, but it would much easier if there are two people to assemble it. It took my brother and dad about 10 minutes to have the mounting bar and Kangaroo LTD seat on the bicycle.
The mounting bar is included with the seat and must be put on between the bicycle seat and handlebars. It has thick seat and back padding with padded shoulder harness.
The Kangaroo LTD Carrier is intended for babies that are at least 12 months old that can sit up straight with a bicycle helmet. The carrier can hold children that weigh up to 40 pounds. Isabella is almost 8 months, so she is not supposed to ride in it yet. It will be perfect for later this summer when she is 12 months old. We were only in the yard in these pictures to see how she would fit in it so we didn't put a helmet on her. If you're riding your child in this carrier, they need to have a helmet for safety. Isabella didn't want to get out of the seat and really enjoyed sitting up where she could look around.
The weight limit is 40 pounds and at 2 1/2, Evan is pretty skinny and only weighs 35 pounds. This seat can really only be used for just over a year if your child is at the top of the weight charts. Evan is tall for his age, and this seat is probably too small for him. We put him in it just to ride him in the yard to see how he fit. He will soon be too big for it, but he really liked sitting in front so that he could see out.
We took the kids out of the seat and we all took turns riding it up and down the street to test how easy it was to ride with the Kangaroo LTD Carrier sitting there. We all agreed that it was a little awkward at first because you had to keep your legs out a little further than normal. I was able to quickly get used to it being there and I like that I'll always have my child in front of me so I can see what they're doing.
