TASSIMO has several Home Brewing Systems by Bosch. With the TASSIMO machine and the TASSIMO Discs (T DISCs) you can make the hot beverage you want, when you want it. No Fuss. No Mess.
Bosch sent us the TASSIMO LCD Premium T65 Home Brewing System.
It's truly amazing. The same system that makes a real espresso and freshly brewed filter coffee from some of your favorite U.S. and European brands, also makes real milk-based latte & cappuccino, cafe crema, tea, hot chocolate – something for everyone.
The ingenious TASSIMO Disc (T DISC) is designed to work exclusively with the TASSIMO machine. Each T DISC contains a precisely measured amount of coffee, tea, chocolate, or concentrated milk, and is sealed to protect the precious flavor inside.
My favorite thing about the Tassimo T65 Coffee Maker is the design. It is smaller than my other single serve coffee maker and takes up less room on my counter. The modern look is super sleek and matches the decor of my kitchen. There are even little lights to illuminate the cup stand. The multilingual LCD screen tells me exactly what to do so I'm never guessing. The machine is 12.3” High x 10.3” Wide x 14.5” Deep and has a 61 oz water tank. This is the box that it came in.
Another one of my favorite things about the Tassimo T65 is that it has a Mavea Water filtration system. It ensures that only pure water is used to expertly brew your hot beverage. This is what the back of the machine looks like. You see the tank, filter, and Service T DISC. The service T DISC stays in that little slot on the back when not in use.
The TASSIMO Machine works off of bar codes. The bar code on each T DISC tells the machine what to do. When you insert the T DISC, the machine reads the bar code printed on the label. It automatically calculates the amount of water needed, brewing time, and temperature required to prepare the perfect beverage. How cool is that? This is the service T DISC that stays in the back of the machine when its not needed.
Before the first use, you need to clean it. Simply fill the water tank up and place the Service T DISC in. Press the Start/Stop button and water will flow into the cup. The machine will read the bar code and poor the amount of water that it needs to clean itself. You'll need to do this about 5 times. It takes about 15 minutes to get the machine set up to make the first cup of coffee.
This is a view from the side. You see the water tank with the filter in the back. You can't see it, but that thing on top of the water tank tells me when I need to change the filter.
I'm not a big espresso or Latte fan, but my husband loves them. We were sent these Latte Machiatto T DISCs with the machine so we gave them a shot.
It comes with espresso and milk discs. If you want to use it as an espresso, then you would just use the espresso discs.
I only had large coffee cups so I took the base off which is full adjustable to whatever size cup you want to use. We pressed the button and had our espresso. My husband likes his coffee really strong, where I like mine a little more weak. The TASSIMO allows you to interrupted or extend the brew cycle for customizable strength.
I only have two complaints about the Tassimo T65. It is a little louder than I'd like and some of my favorite brands/flavors of coffee aren't available in T DISCS. It is hard to describe the sound so here is a video that shows exactly what it does and how the machine works. This video lasts about 3 minutes, but it shows from start to finish and it also demonstrates how you can customize how strong you want the coffee. Like I said before, the T DISCS come with bar codes that tell the machine exactly how much water it is supposed to use, but you can make it stronger or weaker if you'd like. You're not stuck with what the machine does initially which I love. Too bad the video isn't a scratch and sniff because my whole downstairs smells like Starbucks when I use the TASSIMO machine!
uploaded wrong video...will put the new one up as soon as it gets done uploading
