RCA My Small Wonder Digital Camcorder Review And Giveaway

My babies are growing up way too fast. I try to take as many pictures and videos as I can so that I will always be able to remember what they were like at every stage. I want to have the best resources available to capture these moments.



Audiovox has several great products for my family. Their various brands include RCA, Jensen, Energizer, Advent, and more. RCA has a Digital Camcorder that I can take with me anywhere. Audiovox sent me the RCA My Small Wonder Digital Camcorder to use with my family.


Measuring just 0.9 x 2.5 x 4.3 inches, the Small Wonder HD can be taken anywhere. The simple point and shoot capabilities make it where anyone can capture memories with the press of a button. It does not come with a memory card, but can capture about 5 minutes of HD quality video on its own. I purchased a 16GB Micro SC disk that holds about 8 hours of HD recordings.


The EZ209HD Small Wonder that I received allows me to capture videos in HD, High Quality, or web quality. The 16GB card that I purchased can hold about 19 hours of high quality video so I know I will always have enough space to take any video that I want.

I think the quality is fantastic when it is a well lit room or if we're outside. Here is a video in Evan's room when there was light coming in. When I downloaded it to blogger it didn't come out as well as the original video on my screen, but you can get the idea.


At first I thought that the quality wasn't as good when there was low light, but I was wrong. There is actually a menu button on the back and you can select what kind of lighting you have so that the camcorder adjusts itself.


I could always see what I was recording with the large two-inch color display on the back. The on/off switch is on the side and when I am ready to record, I just hit the big red button. It always tells me how much time I have left to record and what quality I'm recording in.


The EZ209HD includes an AV cable, USB extender, Lithium-ion battery pack with charger, wrist strap and carry pouch. I can hook it up to my TV with the AV cord to view the videos on my television, or I can use the USB cord to unload the videos on my computer.

I often forget to bring a camera with me when we're out. The Small Wonder allows me to take pictures as well. The quality isn't the best in dim light, but it does OK in medium to bright light. This was taken outside when it was starting to rain.
