Veggie Tales: Pistachio - The Little Boy That Woodn't

I've posted about several different Veggie Tales DVDs in the past. They all teach amazing lessons to children and remind adults of the important things in life.

Big Idea sent us a copy of Pistachio - The Little Boy That Woodn't.

Once upon a time in the small town of Bologna-Salami, there lived a lonely toymaker named Gelato and his assistant Cricket. Gelato had no children of his own, so one day he decided to carve a little boy out of wood. Imagine Gelato’s surprise when he learned this little boy could walk…and talk…and definitely had a mind of his own! When Pistachio tries to do things his way, he lands in a “whale” of a situation! Will he decide to listen to the wisdom of a loving father in time to save his whole family from becoming fish food? Find out in this all-new adventure with a lesson about the importance of family and learning to listen.

As always, VeggieTales did a fantastic job of keeping the whole family entertained. The Pistachio DVD put a clever twist on Pinocchio and teaches children about obeying your parents. The movie is fun and silly to keep the attention of younger kids, but provides several jokes to keep adults entertained.

You can view the trailer below.

If your family loves Veggie Tales as much as mine, Pistachio - The Little Boy That Woodn't would be a great addition to your collection.
