Celebrate Birthdays In Style With The Wilton Party Products Review And Giveaway

I became obsessed with all of those cake decorating shows while pregnant with Isabella. I took the first Wilton Cake Class at a local hobby store shortly after she was born to learn the basics. I haven't taken any of the other classes yet, but I hope to soon.



Wilton has a huge selection of cake decorating products that I'll be able to use for birthday parties and school functions for years to come. Wilton has been the industry leader in cake decorating, quality bake-ware and food crafting for 80 years. They are the name brand that I turn to for all of my decorating needs.

Wilton sent us a Birthday Package that contained a large variety of Birthday Party Products, sprinkles, icing, and pans.


We don't have a birthday in our family for at least two months so we decided to have a "decorating party" at my mom's house. It's like decorating Easter eggs but better because you get to eat sugary yumminess as soon as you decorate them. They sent a few 8-inch round Ultragold pans and a muffin pan so I filled them up with chocolate cake batter.


I used the Wilton cake class buttercream icing recipe to top the cupcakes with before we added sprinkles(you'll have a little left over if you use the recipe below).
-2 cup solid white vegetable shortening
-1 teaspoon Wilton butter flavor
-1 teaspoon Wilton Vanilla flavor
-4 tablespoon water(I used more because it is too thick with only 4 tablespoons)
-2 lb. pure cane confectioners' sugar
-A pinch of salt(optional-but I always do it)
Cream the shortening, flavoring and water. Add dry ingredients and mis on medium speed until all ingredients have been thoroughly mixed together.

These were the sprinkles and icings that Wilton sent for us to use.

We had a blast decorating the cupcakes and cake. They turned out super yummy and they looked pretty. Wilton made decorating with a 2 year old really easy and fun. Here are 6 of the cupcakes that we decorated.


My kids' birthdays are two days apart. Evan will be 3 and Isabella will be 1. I plan on using the car and princess themed party products for their birthdays this year. I will be sure to post pictures when I use them.
