Boon Feeding Products Review And Giveaway

Isabella is starting to eat baby food. So far she's had apples, peaches, and bananas. I'm having more fun with it this time because I'm actually making all of her food. I also have new products to make feedings more fun.

Boon has several great products for babies and toddlers that are beginning to eat. Boon was born when designer, Rebecca Finell, needed a solution to a messy bathtub. Since then, she brought on partner, Ryan Fernandez and together they created Boon. They strive to bring other parents the most innovative products at affordable prices.

Boon sent us the Squirt, Fluid, Snack Ball, Groovy, Catch Bowl and ModWare in pink.

Squirt

The Squirt baby food dispensing spoon allows for convenient feeding, one bite at a time. The easy-to-fill bulb holds up to 3 ounces of baby food and attaches firmly to the spoon end. Simply squeeze the bulb to dispense just the right amount of food. Squirt comes with a protective cover to seal food in and keep the spoon clean between feedings. By combining the spoon and food container into one product, Squirt makes one-handed feeding a snap.

The squirt is by far my new favorite baby product. Have you seen Beauty And The Beast? Remember the part where Beast is eating with a spoon for the first time? That reminds me of Isabella. She is an incredibly messy eater and wants to keep putting her hand in her mouth or grab any bowls that are around her. The Squirt allows me to have one hand free so that I can hold her hands back. See the food up her nose-she's a SUPER messy eater and moves all over the place.

It is extremely easy to use and allows you to dispense as much or as little food as you'd like. Cleaning up just requires unscrewing the top, rinsing it out, and throwing it in the dishwasher. Like Boon's other products, it is BpA-free, Phthalate-free, and PVC-free.

Fluid

This streamlined toddler cup has an ergonomic, two-handed grip that is perfect for small hands. The angled spout requires less head tipping, making it more comfortable to use.

The fluid has to be the cutest sippy cup that I've ever seen. It holds 9 ounces and is dishwasher safe. Isabella isn't old enough for it yet, so we used the fluid with Evan. He always asks for it when we go to grab a sippy cup. I guess he likes that it looks different.

I was a little skeptical about how leak proof it would be. The first thing I did was turn it upside down. Nothing came out. I shook it really hard and a drop or two came out, but I was still impressed.

Snack Ball

Kids and parents will love this fun, sphere-shaped snack container. The rigid form protects snacks from crushing, making the Snack Ball great for travel. Two halves unscrew for easy cleaning and the lid snaps in place to keep snacks inside.

The Snack Ball is the perfect size to throw in my diaper bag. I've used other snack containers for Evan, but they usually take up so much space. It holds enough for Evan to eat, and keeps snacks from getting crushed.

The lid just snaps back into place when it's not in use. The two halves can be unscrewed and thrown in the dishwasher when it needs to be cleaned.

Groovy

Engaging kids at mealtime can be a challenge. What better way to keep their interest than to give them their own special plate? Groovy offers a fun way to serve meals in a customizable configuration. This interlocking plate and bowl set includes a toddler-sized plate with two separate compartments plus two small bowls that attach to the edge of the plate in a variety of positions. The small bowls are perfect for dipping—always an engaging activity at mealtime—or for serving small portions.

Seriously, how cute is this plate? It is broken up so that your child has great sized portions and they can decide where they want the smaller dipping bowls to go. Evan dips everything and is always asking for "sauce". This plate has been perfect for keeping his sauce to the side instead of smeared all over the rest of his food.

The base is slip-resistant and stays put on Evan's high chair tray or table. The surface is scratch resistant and dishwasher safe. It can be used for babies 9+ months and is a great way to get them excited about self feeding.

ModWare

ModWare is perfect for toddlers who are ready to graduate from Benders, but who are not quite ready for adult tableware. The ergonomic design has no sharp edges and the handles are designed with a soft, comfortable grip.

It takes a while for toddlers to use adult silverware. Silverware can be sharp and baby spoons are too small to use. ModWare is the perfect size and makes it where parents don't have to worry about toddlers hurting themselves.

The handles are soft and stay put in slippery hands. Evan is able to use the ModWare with ease and his food stays on the spoon and fork. As with Boon's other products, they are BpA-free, Phthalate-free, and PVC-free.

Catch Bowl

The Catch Bowl is the perfect way to help first-time eaters control little spills. The built-in food catcher extends toward the child, funneling runaway food back into the bowl. Made from easy-to-clean soft material, the food catcher flexes when bumped. To help avoid bigger spills, a suction cup bottom keeps the Catch Bowl firmly in place.

I don't throw around the word "genius" very often, but whoever created the Catch Bowl is a genius!! Evan still makes a mess with foods like yogurt and applesauce. The Catch Bowl has a lip so that it catches dropped food. The food will slide back into the bowl so that your toddler can try again.

There has been less food left on the high chair since we started using the Catch Bowl. The food catcher lip has made clean up so much easier. The base is a big suction cup that keeps the bowl in place so that toddlers can eat without their bowl sliding all around. Like the products above, it can also be thrown in the dishwasher.
