Meet Darla, our new Black Lab. She had a bath as soon as we got home because she was super stinky. She's seven weeks old and is Evan's new best friend. There will be MANY more pictures to come.
I can't write this post without paying a little tribute to Rocky. We miss him like crazy!

Im still praying that Rocky will come back too...you just never know. :) The puppy is so precious! I have had several labs and LOVE them! My very first dog that I got as an adult was a black lab and we named him Keager...he was my baby. Oh by the way, I name all my dogs after alcohol...keager, kahlua, martini...etc. LOL

It's a hard thing, when pets go missing. If you are anything like me, you sit and wonder. Wonder where he went...wonder who he is with....wonder what happened....wonder if someone took him or did he just leave. I have been there and it's no fun.
But puppies can heal a broken heart, that's for sure. What a cutie that puppy is.

OH...Darla is DARLING!!! I remember the new baby (puppy) stages of hearing them whimper ALL night long. A new baby puppy to become part of the family...Evan will remember every little part of this new friendship.
We all hope Rocky is OK, and somewhere in the hands of someone who is taking care of him.

Rocky call home, your owners miss you. I know a dog can't call home.
I'm glad we have our dogs chipped, so if they end up at a vets or an animal shelter with a scanner they can contact us.

The new pup sure is a cutie. Puppies just melt my heart, but I know all too well what goes into raising them. Ugh, the second one we took in when Pixie was only 6 months old almost killed me. But he's a great friend to her now.

She's absolutely gorgeous, & so was Rocky. We had a Black Lab & when we took her to the Vet & he found out how old she was he was amazed, & said that she lived so long because she was well taken care of & well loved. Our Cleo (short for Cleopatra), went to doggy heaven at 17. I miss her so much. Labs like to jump. Be careful because when they get older they have a tendency to have bad hip problems. Give Darla a smooch for me.
