My question for this week is:
What is your favorite finger food or dessert? Do you take a gift for the host?
We have two Christmas parties tomorrow and I have to take a finger food or dessert. I always take my brownies but am thinking of taking a finger food of some sort too. And I usually take a bottle of wine with a stopper as a gift for the host.

I am definitely a brownie lover!
I really like these stuffed jalepeno peppers that I make. We usually take a bottle of wine as a hostess gift! :)
I always take a hostess gift...candles, wine, chocolates..etc.
I love spinach dip!!
I think a hostess gift is always nice but rarely get one myself and I'm not great about giving one either although I do always offer to bring something.
I love anything wrapped in bacon, like bacon wrapped water chestnuts or wieners! :)
I usually bring something like my olive dip or cheese ball.
Spring rolls are great finger foods.. My husbands favorite would be bacon wrapped scallops..
Hostest Gift absolutely a nice bottle of Wine, wishing a white Christmas...if the White runs our drink the Red!!!
I like the finger foods- especially the veggies. Depends on the host and the circumstances.

I make these almond ritz PB cookies. I'll try and make them today and get you the recipe! I also make fudge Shhh the one on fluff is my favorite!
I'm always the sucker for deviled eggs though
I usually take cookies of some sort, but I have a recipe for a Bacon Cheese Ring that is an amazing appetizer!
dont know never been invited to that kind of party ..sorry im of no help.. but a pan of warm brownies are welcome at my house anyday ..
My favorite finger food is pretty much anything :) I eat it all!
And I always bring a gift. I used to live in Ukraine, and you NEVER show up to someone's house emptyhanded there. It's stuck with me.

I usually bring an ornament for the hostess.
I love "cielito lindo" it have cream cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomate and mild sauce and you put it on tostitos (chips).

I think this year we'll be bringing bottles of mead to our party hosts/hostesses. We recently found some DELISH local honey mead.
I think desserts are easier to bring than finger foods -- you can't go wrong with brownies!
I like savory foods - maybe shrimp wrapped in bacon. Yes, I think it's appropriate to bring a small gift.
I love spring rolls, and warm crab dip, and desserts...Christmas cookies! I do bring a hostess gift. Usually wine, flowers or something that goes with the theme of the party.
I love those cheesy pigs in a blanket or bagel bites. If I am making something however, brushetta is always an easy thing and people think you really worked hard and you really didn't.
As for a hostess gift, I normally bring stationary.
I'm a cheese and crackers person and yes I do try to take the hostess a gift. Wine or flowers/plant.
lol, i am not one to cook, so i normally ask if i can bring plates/cups..
but, in my defense, i hung with the party crowd... normally guys and i was in charge of a party... lol, that meant meeting up somewhere.
Well since christmas day is at my house this year I am make a Ginger Roll Dessert. I am also making part of the dinner too.
I make a veggie dip with Philadelphia cream cheese, a tiny can of V8 Juice, and a package of Seven Seas Italian dressing. I mix it all togeter and dip raw veggies in it. Mmmm that stuff is good. As far as a gift for the host it depends what kind of party it is. If it's a fancy party (dress-up party) then yes I'll bring a bottle of wine, but if not know, I just bring something to pass.
I dont go to many parties.
Fudge, veggie tray, chips & dip, gosh what else....oh this yummy raspberry pretzel salad & I usually do a hostess gift
