The strand that they sent me is made of perfectly round, 7.0-7.5 mm, white akoya pearls. They have been knotted between each pearl to ensure that they stay perfect. Being knotted provides me with peace of mind that if something were to happen and the strand broke, my pearls wouldn't scatter all over the floor.
