She's Here!

I know many of you have been checking in so I wanted to pop on here to let everyone know that Isabella Brooke is here! I'm making this a fast post but will get pictures up after we get home(hopefully tomorrow night).

I got here at about 7:30am. They hooked me up to Pitocin and the doctor broke my water at about 9. My contractions were HORRIBLE almost immediately after my water broke and I asked for an epidural. While getting the epidural I kept feeling the urge to push and was having a hard time staying still because I had these painful contractions about every 1 minute. The epidural ended up only working on one side but that was better than nothing.

She didn't believe that I was feeling the urge to push but finally checked me anyway. I was completely dilated and we could see her head. We tried to hold off on pushing and I was on my side hoping that the epidural would work on that side. The doctor said I just needed to deliver because Isabella wasn't waiting any longer.

It only took 6 minutes of pushing and she was here! She arrived at 10:40 weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces and she's 20 inches. She looks a lot like her brother did and I think she looks like her daddy but everyone says they can see me in her too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
