I am still AMAZED by how calm and quiet she is. Evan was a wild child from day one. He didn't sleep NEAR as much as most newborns do and he cried-a lot! There was no way he would just sit there and coo, he always wanted to be held. She loves to be held, but is perfectly content no matter where she is. She sleeps like a champ and I'm still waiting for that to change. She's 4 days old now and is still sleeping mostly through the night. I have to wake her up to feed her. Some nights she goes to sleep pretty late(around midnight or so), but when she goes to sleep she sleeps until I wake her up. Now that my milk is in, the doctor said that I can let her go a lot longer and not have to wake her up for night feedings. I wake her up between 6 -7am and she goes back to sleep until 9-10am. She's usually up and more alert between 10-1 and then goes back down for a super long nap which happens to be when Evan takes his nap! I couldn't ask for anything more perfect.
I've had one small scare that I'm anxious to talk about tomorrow with her doctor. She has spit up some green/black looking stuff 3 times over the past 2 days. I called and the on call nurse said that she should be fine as long as she doesn't have a fever and doesn't do it a WHOLE lot. Unfortunately, one of my nipples is bleeding(sorry for the TMI) and she said it could just be that it is upsetting her stomach a little. She's still pooping and peeing like a champ so I'm not TOO worried about it. Have any of you dealt with anything like that with your children?
You know that I take a TON of pictures and there will be plenty more to come, but I knew it was about time that I shared a few pictures of our new princess! Like the bow? Stay tuned for a review/giveaway!
