Mudpuppy Wins 11 Oppenheim Awards

I had the pleasure of doing a review and giveaway for Mudpuppy back in March. You can read more on that post about the Ring Flash Cards and Sticker Play Scenes that we were able to play with.

Mudpuppy has a fantastic selection of toys and other educational products to help your children get a jump start on learning. A few other products that are available at Mudpuppy include:
-Money Banks
-Magnetic Figures
-And MUCH More

Mudpuppy recently contacted me and told me about their latest achievements. They were awarded an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Seal Award and 10 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Awards for 2009! In the past seven years, Mudpuppy products have received over 50 awards. All of these awards reiterate that they are a great company with amazing toys!

They sent us the Pirates 100 Piece Puzzle that won a 2009 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award.

The puzzle is based on an illustration by Olwyn Whelan for The Barefoot Book of Pirates retold by Richard Walker and published by Barefoot Books. I like to keep Evan's puzzles on his bookshelves and it looks great sitting there. Most puzzles come in an ugly cardboard box that I don't want displayed in his room. The collectible tin box makes it where I have more room in his closets.

The puzzle itself is 100 pieces and measures 18" x 12" when put together. The puzzle pieces are sturdy and will last through years and years of playing. I plan on working with Evan on this puzzle multiple times. Putting puzzles together helps children with many skills such as hand eye coordination. Once again, I can rest assured that Mudpuppy is giving my son a jump start in life.
