Otto Grows Down

I strongly believe in reading with your baby, toddler, AND child. The earlier you start, the earlier they learn the habit of reading! We have a house full of children's books(and of course mommy books). In every room we have at least one little basket full of about 10-20 books so my little man has the option of reading whenever he wants to.

He likes to read morning, noon, and night! I hope he continues to love reading. He has already learned so much from the books that we read.

We recently received a few new books to read! One was Otto Grows Down by Michael Sussman and was illustrated by Scott Magoon.

Otto Grows Down is about a little boy who makes a 6th birthday wish. He wishes that his baby sister had never been born! The wish didn't turn out the way he imagined, time ended up moving backward! Sure his baby sister goes away, but what about Otto?

I think this book fits in well at our house right now! Before I know it, I will be introducing my toddler to his new baby brother. I'm sure there will be some jealousy and at times he will wish it were only him again! With the help of this book, he will understand how important his little brother is to him!

Our Thoughts On Otto Grows Down.
My little man keeps choosing this book to read! I think that the illustrations really grab his attention. They're so big and bold that you can't help but fall in love with the pages of this book.

Even though he can't actually read the book, it is becoming a favorite that he wants to look at over and over!

I LOVE this book. What mom doesn't want to teach her children to be happy with what they have?

Otto Grows down is not only an absolutely adorable book, it teaches a few great lessons. This is definitely one book that I don't mind reading over and over again!

You can purchase Otto Grows Down at for $11.66.

That sounds like a great book. We did this with our son and he still loves to read. Knock on wood. lol!

He's in 3rd grade reading at a 5th grade level. Sounds like your little one loves it.
